You're right on the money.
Did anyone else notice the injection of pace murray put in to hit that forehand and save the first break point? Just a small glipse that murray can switch it on when he needs to
How the heck did he miss that volley! lol )
the art of craven retrieval...
lol wut ??..its odd shot city central out there,
Federer played retired journeyman children while Djokovic had to battle Olympic gold medalists and Wimbledon finalists all the time - is that fair?
what a draw its like playing a challengers for murraaa , hope feddy kicks him out otherwise it wont be fair!!! who let this mug chardy into quarters
It's like the 90s again with Chardy... Those volleys... Oh, how I've missed thee!
That was a quick one.
C'mon Andy - finish him!
This guy beat delpo?
Also i love SNV, i reckon with a good serve and a half decent volley, you could push players like nadal, murray and djokovic who rely on baseline rallies (novak especially) out.
Tim henman where are you? XD
Andy has his own cheering squad...
wrong thread mate
Unless Tsonga spanks the cry baby. Most likely not gonna happen. But it would be a treat to have Murray vs Tsonga SF........
I'm so glad i have British commentators...
So, impressed with Chardy's forehand, but also impressed that Murray has weathered the infrequent storms, and will probably take this in this third set
C'mon, give the Old cry Baby a break. He deserves a cupcake of a draw !
Trivia: after Perry, Murray is the Brit that have won the most matches in Grand slams. At age 25 he has surpassed Tim Henman.
After beating Delpo, Chardy has nothing to show for. A Delpo vs Murray would have been great.
delp was injured when this mug beat him
Why don't you and SoBad get a room. Go make some ugly babies.
Don't cry Margaret. Fed has not lost yet. Maybe in 4 hrs time.
All of Murray's matches start with promise then just fade away
Murray defending like Scotland's being attacked.
You guys complaining about Delpo not being in this match should watch a reply of his match against Chardy. Only one player deserved to win that one and he did.
Well sure Chardy deserved to win it, but that's only because the real Delpo (who I've been waiting on for a few years the little bugger) didn't show up
The rogerlina sailed through weak era cupcake draws on peds for years. Is it not time for a change? Nadal ousted, Djokovic has to fight though top Olympic and Wimbledon players, Murray had to come through Berankis. Federlina gets another card into slam SF for no good reason.
Oh I thought you got trashed and passed out. My mistake, please do carry on.
I love how murray just handles chardy's big forehands coz he's clearly desperate to get back into it and murray is just taunting him and putting tons of top spin looping balls back to him to negate it.
This is why is murray is in the top 4.
You're either very sleep deprived or you're having one big laugh.
Not as weak as you Russians. I'm enjoying a drink while you're vomiting all over this thread.
Guess I'm right!
You promised to pass out nearly an hour ago. Can you drink any faster?
Silly murray, wanted to end it too quickly and didnt put the effort in on that last service game.
I was all prepared to post a status how he lost just 6 games to the guy who beat del potro... Oh well, 8 then? maybe 7?
Best Murray's played all tournament I'd say.
Has a chance of going all the way on this form.
Who has Murray played yet? He'll get destroyed in the semis.
This one slam wonder having the easiest of draws and still complaining he want a night match
Moving and defending really well as usual.
7 games it is.
Congrats to murray! Lets hope federer can get past tsonga and give us an entertaining semi final.
Very strong from Murray. Will win the AO.
Nothing funny about nikdom - he is a sad individual.
Nice to know that Andy's D-game is enough to thrash a competent opponent..
There was far more than defence on display today.
See you all in the federer v tsonga topic!
It's easy for Murray to dismantle a guy who has no belief that he can beat the big boys.
Murray is really under the radar in this tournament. To an extent, it's beneficial that Murray hasn't had too many matches on RLA primetime. The media aren't really focused on him. He's just...there, winning his matches and doing his job.
If I were a tennis player, I'd prefer to be in the shadows than the spotlight.
Decent performance dat from Murray.
And so to Auld Sexi.
Did you actually watch the match?
Murray has been poor the last few matches but today he was outstanding.
Chardy is no push over.
Better performance from Andy today, comfortably beating the guy who beat Del Potro and who beat him the last time they met. I thought it would have been closer than it turned out.
A rap on the knuckles for letting his double break go in the 1st and 3rd sets (especially when he was serving for the match) and a slight concern over why his famous cross-court backhand has been mostly misfiring all through the tournament. But all in all, looking good going into the semis.
Hope he can step it up further when he meets Roger. I'm sure he'd much rather face Jo-Willy but we all know it's going to be Roger (sorry Jo-Willy fans)!
What an upset this was.
Easy win, as expected.
I think Andy will beat either Tsonga or Federer in the SF to be honest. It'll be 50/50 whether he beats Djokovic in the final, but Andy has a good chance to take the title I think - Novak hasn't been in his very best form.
Separate names with a comma.
