I'm hoping that the pressure he's been putting on Tsitsipas's service games, and his own dominance on his serve, will combine to his advantage now Tsitsipas is serving to stay in the set.

Of course, I would have preferred it if he had taken one of those break points ...

It's true I remember. Back in 2008 Fed fans were whining about his age.
Back then 27 was closer to old side of things though.

And besides, that doesn't invalidate Fed actually being old in 2014-2016.

Fed actually had strong youngsters in 2008 though.

Cilic is going to be dead in that quarter final, should he make it...

On the basis of what I've seen tonight, I have to hope that this kid stays healthy and gets even better. To me he is the young player we have all been looking for, for many years. He seems to have it all, the serve, the movement, the flow, the instincts to come to the net, and he has not given up. Honestly the end of the 1st set was one of the biggest screw jobs I've even seen, no fault of anyone but the creep who called "out" in the middle of the point, but I'd like to see the rules changed so that any "fan" who does that is not only kicked out but not allowed in a tennis stadium for a least a couple years.

Anyone know the rule on the bad ball toss? I think Sharapova got called for a time violation after one of them today.

That variation with the slide did the job, and Roger has SP.

Yet another bp goes by - good serve from Tsitsipas this time. Here's another one. COME ON TAKE IT!!!
