Hubbie has to be the favorite here,,, Danill has been stinking up the court lately
ATP H2H: 3-2 for Hurkacz
HC H2H: 2-1 for Medvedev
GS H2H: 1-0 for Hurkacz
Hubi postoupil do svého prvního QF na hard majors. He will challenge one of the best HC players of recent years and finalist of two years of AO.

I writed the Czech sentence there by mistake, it's fixed. Why is this part in Czech BTW?
A rare event, but I completely agree with your take on thisI think HH takes this. He is undefeated in Quarterfinals of Grand Slams, after all. Never even lost a set at this stage. lol
Out of the 4 Quarterfinals this one has the highest probability for an upset. Medvedev hates Hurkacz's game and said it a few times. His only significant win against him was 2-6 7-6 7-6 in Toronto with 8-6 and 7-5 in the tie-breaks, Hurkacz had 3 match points. Last 2 matches weren't close at all, 7-6 6-3 in Miami and 6-1 6-4 in Halle.
Medvedev lost his serve so many times in this tournament, against non-seeded players like Altman Rusuvuuori and Borges. Only easy win was against the ghost of Felix... He is very inconsistent and it can backfire against the best server in the world. He isn't going to break Hurkacz 3 times per set here. He knows 1 break and the set is basically over against someone like HH. And in tie-breaks, it's fifty-fifty.
Plus it will probably be the day match (Zverev/Alcaraz will be the night match). Hot conditions will definitely favor HH here.
That would make this AO one of the best tournaments in it's history.Hurkacz will lose 7-6(4), 6-7(0), 7-6(19), 6-7(0), 6-7(0)
His serve was good but his fh sucked for a long time. That's why people deride sinner because he lost to Hubbie in Miami that too so meekly.Shocked to learn today that HH was below 0.500 (10-11) in hard court Slam matches before this AO. How is this possible with that serve?
lol as we american's call it, the home run derby (for serving)Hurkacz will lose 7-6(4), 6-7(0), 7-6(19), 6-7(0), 6-7(0)
Should be a lot of interest in this one.
Yeah he seems a bit out of sorts this early in the match. Needs some energy or something.Bad start by Hubi. Medvedev gets the early break.
I think this is the first time I am watching a Medvedev v/s Hurkacz match and god damn this is boring
I started my day with Sinner-Rublev. These guys are playing patty-cake by comparison lol.I think this is the first time I am watching a Medvedev v/s Hurkacz match and god damn this is boring
There's not a lot of energy. Hurcazk is the definition of low energy personality but his game can be exciting when paired with the right opponent. Med can have tons of on-court personality but he's been reserved so far, and his game is much more fun to watch when he's trying to fend off a big hitter. It's picking up a little.Low quality match. Doesn't seem like a slam QF. Novak would have obliterated either player in STRAIGHTS.
ThankfullyLevel just went up like 3 notches
True but I also cannot recall seeing Med return up thereIt is getting better. The most exciting thing early on was Brad Gilbert nearly having a stroke over Med's return position. He couldn't stop talking about it.
Well, you got the first set score right but not who would win it.Hurkacz will lose 7-6(4), 6-7(0), 7-6(19), 6-7(0), 6-7(0)
