No but in all seriousness name something Rublev does better than Sinner:
Forehand Sinner
Backhand Sinner
Slice Sinner
Touch Sinner
Volley Sinner
Serve Sinner
Return Sinner
Untraumatized by 0-9 GS QF matches Sinner

Rublev's game plan is hit hard and if that doesnt work hit harder
unfortunately Sinner can hit both harder and more accurately than rublev

Sinner in 3 unless it's like 35+ degrees out
Rublev clearly has the better serve. I'd say the forehand is a tie.

Even in this era lol

I think more than mentally , his game is so limited. Flat strokes, bad movement and he doesn't have great serve as well. No variety.
In this type of match, he should be able to go toe to toe with Sinner in these type of slower conditions. I watched some of his match with De Minaur and he was really good, and better than what he's shown here.

At this point, Rublev may never make a Slam SF. He's in form this tournament and you cannot let a 5-1 tiebreak lead slip when you're a set down. Mentally, he's just not tough enough in the pressure moments in Slams.
Inform players don't play two 5 setters in 4 rounds ...

Sorry but if you struggle against Rublev - it's game over against Djokovic. He better win this in straights
Djokovic/Fritz was really high quality although I had to go to bed in the 2nd set. I expected this to be a better quality than this tbh.

Rublev needs to add something more to his game if he is to sometime make it past QF it should be obvious to him by now.

He was 8-0 to start to the year and straight setted Ruusuvuori in the final of HK Open, who pushed Medvedev to 5 here. He went 5 with Seyboth Wild, who is not exactly a pushover, and De Minaur, a top 10 player.

When did this NEW rule come in tennis?
Fritz was playing quite good and Rublev has been playing like Rublev. I feel Djokovic with his level shown so far in last few rounds - should be enough - if this is the level Sinner comes up with.

On the run - Sinner has been committing mistakes. It’s going to be tough to beat Djokovic if he is in his zone with cracks in your armour

That's what people said 2/3 years back before pandemic. He is just a one dimensional player.
Yes but it's obvious he will have to or he will be stuck forever at this stage. Literally just after I wrote that Jonas Björkman commentating on Swedish Eurosport said the same thing, like he should work on defensive and offensive slice and more of a touch game but maybe it's just not gonna happen with Rublev as he is one dimensional as you say.

What sinner is showing today is good enough for a quality match. Will it be enough vs Nole? Time will tell. Nole played horrendous in the daytime.

Let's not underrate or overrate both Djokovic and Sinner.

Nothing changed after this Rublev match.

The Sinner v Djokovic match up in SF is what most fans have been looking forward to since tournament began.

I suspect It will either prove to be disappointing or an epic that may be talked about for ages. While i am rooting for Novak my main hope is that for their sakes they don't knock 7 bells out of one another in a 4-5 hour 5 set marathon and allow Carlos to take advantage of their mental and physical fatigue in final.

Carlos has lucked out so far at this tournament the way things have fallen so if he is going to win it i want to see him earn it with a couple of hard fought matches

Rublev playing well but running into a better version of himself.

You are not beating Novak if consistency is your game because he is the best at it. You are not beating Sinner just bashing the ball as hard as you can from the baseline without much variety, because Sinner is the best at it now.

Look sinner wins easy if it's a day match vs djokovic
unfortunately it's a nightmare
i'm saying djokovic in 5 but i wouldn't be too surprised if sinner wins

Sinner has done exactly what he needs to so far - roll into the semis without losing a set.
Day match against Djokovic also somewhat helpful

It will come down to the big points as usual

If he reached final beating Zverev and Medvedev

Both of whom are in top 6 in the world

What in the hell will be lucking out in the tournament?

Yes he had puffball draw till quarters but it's not easy now for anyone.
