The draw has just been released and is being analysed as we speak and Thiem and Nadal are in the same quarter. They are projected to meet in the QF, and if this does eventuate, I think Thiem has a decent chance at causing an upset. He has demonstrated he can be a threat on a hard court and has the power to go toe to toe with Rafa, as with saw at the US Open in 2018. He has the ability to turn defense into offense, but the main issue is see in his game is how far back he stands in rallies and ROS, he would benefit from moving forward and trying to shorten points. Although he's good at grinding, it is important that he conserve as much energy as possible, if he wants to make a good, deep run in this tournament.
