APD 2013 vs. APD GT

Wanted to see if some people who are familiar with both racquets can comment on the similarities/differences between these two. Seems like the 2013 APD is more popular on the forums, but at least on paper it seems like the main differences lie in the swingweight and headlight balance. But if both racquets were "matched" to have the same SW and balance, (e.g., 2013 weighted up or both frames customized to match) would you still be able to tell the difference between the two? I know that specs alone may not always tell the story so I wanted to hear from people who have actually used both. Thanks!

Edit: to clarify, I am referring to the 2010 APD GT vs the 2013.

it's been a while, but i recall the GT version being a bit more muted than the 2013. the 2013 was the most refined APD in its time and had a good crisp feel without feeling harsh. the GT was more muted than the 2013 but not as muted as the previous cortex version.

2013 felt cleaner but lacked mass in head compared to GT. At the same spec I’d take the 2013 but they are more alike than different. If you like one you’ll like the other.

I have played with all models of the aero, and can comment that the gt was the most stable feeling of the line. The 2013 was the most user friendly, and honestly probably the best aero they’ve ever made in terms of feel and power. So if you want stability/slightly toned down, gt is the way to go. If you are newer or like feel, 2013. Now, if both are matched specwise 2013 all the way

although i have not tried all aero models, i do like the original much more than the yellow white version cortex model. Nadal is very right to stay with the original.
