APD2013 or APD GT

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting new tennis racquets. I really enjoy the aero pro line. Can't really decide between the APD2013 or APD GT. Not sure if I didnt demo them long enough or what. I can't justify getting the 2013 with the price difference. Any opinions, suggestions, comments?

The 2013 swings lighter (less inertia) and vibrates a bit less than the GT. If you don't care, take the cheaper one.

There should be a plenty of nicely conditioned APD 2103's for sale in the For Sale section. I have not played with the GT version, but the 2013 version is very easy to pick up and play well right off the start. I've heard that the GT version can feel a bit unwieldy at times.

For me they both played very similarly... Doesn't justify the 60 dollar difference.
Of course, that's only me. It might be different for you.

I do feel that the 2013 feels a little better but pretty much the question is.. Is that small difference worth it? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything in the long run. I dont change racquets much and I see this as an investment for many years to come.

How many are you planning on purchasing?

That's completely personal honestly. I really can't answer that one for you.

if you feel the swingweight of the apdgt is too high, you should get the 2013 apd since it has a much lower swingweight. it's easy to increase swingweight but much harder to reduce in this particular case. for this reason alone, i prefer the 2013 apd.

I prefer previous version. New one has better valley and more stable than APD GT but I like previous version. Probably SW but there was something I can't describe. I am more comfortable to hit with APD GT. It's similar between two frame but if you are sensitive, it might be day or night.

I'm thinking two.

If you are buying new, you have to think, is paying $120 more for two aeropro drives worth it?

You can get two apdgt for $120 less. If you thought that they were different for you and really like the aeropro drive, then I guess you can say that it justifies the price.
If you thought that they were similar and the difference is negligible, then you'd be better off purchasing the apdgt.

Well guys, I followed my instincts and went with the apdgt. Thanks for helping me put things into perspective.
