Appreciation thread for Nadal's banana shot

Might seem a bit over the edge to have an appreciation thread for a single shot of a single player, but let's face it, there are few shots in the history of tennis - if any - that is as breathtaking and spectacular as Rafael Nadal's banana shot. I decided to collect 50 of his best ones in the video below. As you may see, many of them have come during his prime when his footwork was pretty darn close to perfection. There are two shots in the video from 2017 which might give the Rafa fans out there hope that he can recapture some of that sparkling form that helped him win 14 Grand Slam titles.

And, of course, if you guys have more examples of Nadal's banana shots - POST!

Amazing yet depressing because Nadal has declined so much, it's the same feeling I get watching old Fed videos. Prime Nadal was a beast and probably would have beaten back to back Djokovic and Federer both in 4 at this year's Aussie, if not straights. He definitely would have beaten Wawrinka Dimitrov and Murray in straights.

Sorry, no version of Nadal would beat Djokovic and Federer in a non clay slam in 3 or 4 sets. Those guys are just better non clay players than Nadal.
