Interesting that Kentucky beats 2 top 15 teams and drops 1 spot. Mississippi State loses to Kentucky and rises 1 spot. LSU breaks in after a big win over Florida. Tennessee loses to an Alabama team ranked 60 spots lower and rises 4 spots. Always interesting to see the changes from week to week.

i don't think we need to worry about Bubbas ranking going down after this week.
College tennis rankings continue to be questionable. The top 4 are generally in line. the next ten or so seem to make sense as well, give or take a few spots.
Maybe MikeJ can explain, or Auto.

A team you beat two months ago jumps up in last week's rankings, so your win over them is better than it used to be, so you jump up in this week's rankings. Everyone wonders why, because no one is focused on your results from two months ago. All they see is that you beat two unranked, terrible teams this week and you moved up a couple of spots, and they cannot figure out the connection between this week's results and your rankings move. The answer is that this week's ranking move is related to your results for the entire season, and your opponents' results for the entire season, which makes it only partly related to your results this week.

Bubba Watson gets whatever ranking points go with winning the Masters. If his opponent in the playoff tanks the rest of the year, Watson's ranking does not suffer, because Watson beat the entire rest of the golf world, not just that one guy. It is not a head to head system.

No college tennis team won the Masters of tennis this week. Everything is head to head. Someone you beat early in the season tanks for the rest of the season, you get less and less credit for that head to head win as the season goes on and the opponent's ranking declines.

I am amazed that Frank has hung onto # 1 this long. Calling it now...upset in the round of 16.
