are all Luxilon strings polys?

I was under the impression that all Luxilon strings are polys, which last a lot longer than syn gut. Most of their strings at TW has co-polymer (nylon) as the main material, e.g. BB ALU. Only the cheap Super Poly is made from co-polyester. My understanding is that "poly" refers to polyester, and syn gut has the nylon core. So what is the co-polymer in most Luxilon strings? If it's just Nylon, how can it last much longer than syn gut?
 
i think that "poly" is referring to polyester, but in luxilon it might be referring to the co-polymer stuff, i'm not sure what it's referring to. polyester string is alot of extremely fine polyester filaments coated with a shell. but if the co-poly is really nylon then it wouldnt make sense, because if you cut a syn and look at its internal structure you'll see that its much different than a poly. luxilon "polys" or co-polys are just one big mass of the same material. the syn is alot of little filaments tightly wound together. it's a good confusing question that i'm only able to make observations on, but to me the answer is unclear. the only thing i know to be true is that all luxilon strings last alot longer than any syn gut or multi/nylon core string out there.
 
Lux strings are made up of aluminum, and titanium mix with carbon and Poly. They also make Super poly a poly sting with no mixtures. Strings are made in Germany.

I don't know about the filament thing. I guess if you get really technical you could say that, but most polyester (cheap ones) are just extruded, which means they are one big core of solid polyester. Extrusion basically means a polyester substance is pushed at great pressure through a pre-sized hole.

Also: no one said 'poly' is short for polyester. There are plenty of poly varients such as polyethylene, polyeurethane, poly ether ether ketone (PEEK) etc.

Poly (at least in my mind) refers to the family of strings that are constructed SIMILARLY to a polyester, i.e. solid core/monofilaments that have higher durability.

Of course, poly could also be short for 'polyester' specifically, as the usage varies, but it could also be short for many other things.

I'm not an expert on the construction of the lux strings, so i can't really elaborate on them :(
