Are DQs From USTA Leagues Down This Year?

Can not find a single instance in our area of a DQ this year and the season is over for most teams. Anyone else notice a lack of DQs or is it just an anomaly that we haven't had any?

There was one in our area, Southern/Alabama. An over 50 y/o guy playing 19+ and 40+ was 3.5 for a few seasons and early bumped down in Aug to 3.0 (no one saw it coming, even him), so he continued to play in 3.5 and 7.0 mixed and joined a 3.0 18+men's fall team. in Dec, he was bumped back to 3.5 and then he received a letter saying that he could not participate in state for any team at the 3.0 level. Guess this was the 3 strike rule. This was a guy who won at 3.5, shocked he was bumped down to begin with.

That doesn't sound like a DQ situation.

There have certainly been DQs, I've been told of quite a few and predicted some others in advance. I don't have stats nationally though to be able to say if there are more or less.

It sort of is. Players that get an early start bump down that end up having their rating go up and reach the "clearly above level" threshold can be promoted up and not eligible to play at the early start level anymore.

This happened some in the PNW last Fall, see http://computerratings.blogspot.com/2014/12/a-side-effect-of-all-2014-usta-league.html where I wrote about it.
Interesting, so are match results reversed like on some DQs when this threshold is reached?
