They're obviously next-gen in a sense that they are next in line for being top players but would you consider them as part of the next-gen as in Medvedev, Zverev, Tstitspas, etc.

We need a new name for Next Gen though I will admit the name Next Gen is good in a funny ironic way. The idea that they're always "next" makes it apropos. That being said I think they need a new official name so we can use the term Next Gen without confusion. I suggest Tall Gen cuz Zed/Med/Berr/Stef are all tall and they are the most relevant players of their Gen.

After Nadal retires, the best clay player of the decade will be magician Lorenzo Musetti.

@Meles dubbed this generation #DiamondGen. The Next Gen Fs was created during the rise of players like Zedrot, Citybus, and Mad Lad. So, that generation is permanently known as #NextGen even though they are in fact not next gen but current gen.

Yes, @Meles created an arbitrary system rather than looking at their ages, as has been the case for previous generations.

#CrapGen?

Transition Gen including Fed? Don't be ridiculous now. The floor is yours for a semi respectable name.

American Gen: (Pete, Dre, Courier, Chang, Goran)
Transition Gen: (Guga, Moya, Rios, Haas, Costa)
New Balls Gen: (Fed, Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Ferrero)
Golden Gen: (Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Stan, Del Po)
Lost Gen: (Thiem, Nishikori, Raonic, Dimitrov, Kyrgios)
Tall Gen?: (Med, Zed, Stef, Berr, Ruud)

Stork Gen?

No. It's a complicated thing to quantify, and there are always exceptions, but a tennis generation is like 4 years. No generation that includes Medvedev, Khachanov, Coric, etc. also includes guys born from 2000 onwards.

I have almost the same distribution, but with different names:
-New Ball Please Gen (1979-1983): Federer, Roddick, Safin, Hewitt, Ferrero,
-Nadalovic Gen (1984-1988): Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka, del Potro, Cilic
-Lost Gen (1989-1993): Nishikori, Raonic, Dimitrov, Goffin, Thiem (yes!)
-Original Next Gen (1994-1998): Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Berrettini, Ruud
-New Next Gen (1999-2003): Alcaraz, Sinner, Auger-Aliassime, Musetti, Shapovalov.
-Next Gen 3 (2004-2008):

The gang of Sinner, Alcaraz, Musetti, Rune etc? Man they are the nextgen now.
Its beyond ridiculous to consider Zed, Med & Tsi as NextGen now, given that all of them are above 21 yo age & into top20 already for some years.
