Are Nadal, Murray, Djokovic and Federer the best 4 players to play in the modern era?

Is it possible those 4 players (Murray would be 4th) are the best players to play at the same time in one era in the game of modern men's tennis? Novak, Nadal and Federer have dominated the game for the past 9-10 years barring Del Potro, Gaudio and Safin on the slam front.

Murray is consistently a great player and in my opinion will win more slams, on the records and stats front he's behind "the 3" but he is a talented world class player.

To the fans of these players, will men's tennis produce another era where 3 or 4 players are seemingly way more consistent than the rest?

Everyone will forget this era when the Dimitrov, Tomic, Raonic era takes over.

Transitional champions at best this current crop.

Tomic is a career Top 30 - Top 50 type of player. He just doesn't have it between the ears.

Raonic might get one slam but not much beyond that.

Dimitrov is extremely overhyped. Wake me up when he wins an ATP title.

None of these guys will come close to matching Djokovic or Nadal, much less Fed.

Hewitt, Safin at their peak was better than Murray.
Out of the current crop, i agree he's the best

I assumed we were talking about the current crop amongst whom Murray is undeniably the 4th best after Federer, Nadal and Djokovic (despite being currently ranked #2).

Murray doesn't belong in a group with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic at this point. He's got some serious work to do.

Nobody's saying he is. I stated that he is the 4th best player amongst the currently active players, which is true.
