Are nalbandian and baghdatis the same player?

no. but they have been eating form the same cow...

ps: fan of both

They are the same in the same that they are first strike players, who play with long bandanas on their heads, have a somewhat pudgy body type and are fun and easy going guys on and off court. Oh,and they both underperform in slams. Other than that I can't think of any similarities.

ha, cause Nalbandian was more versatile than the man who won slams on all four surfaces.

He is more versatile than agassi, maybe not better but definitely more versatile. You don't need to be versatile to win slams, just ask hewitt about that.

Both are powerful baseliners

Have good movement

Uncomfortable at the net

Relatively weak serves

I played with lendl on dream match tennis and he can get the ball really wide in rallies....like nalbandian

is it me or do they play exactly the same?

I agree. Nalbandian has excellent dropshots, is a competent volleyer and changes the pace and amount of spin on his shots far more than Agassi ever did.

The funny thing is that despite Agassi being one of only two players to have completed the career grand slam on clay, grass and hard, he's probably the most one dimensional player out of all the open era greats. He came to the net less than even Nadal has done, let alone the other players in that select group. He very rarely employed his backland slice, and even though his dropshots were pretty good, he didn't really use them that often.

Wilander had one of the best slices of all time out of players that have used a two handed backhand, plus he came to net a lot more than Agassi or even Federer. Borg and Connors were all-courters who came to the net a lot on faster surfaces and could change their tactics whenever they needed to. Sampras was an all-courter before 1997.
Agassi pretty much used same style of play and tactics day in, day out whatever surface he played on. What's remarkable is that Agassi's one-dimensional game was so incredibly effective on all surfaces.

Nalbandian has gotten to a least the semis of all the slams. We were talking about versatility in his game. By the way what does winning on different surfaces have to do with having versatility in your game? Ever heard of Courier?

Argentina and Cyprus are worlds apart...:)
nalbys grand father came from eastern Iran, just like Agassis father, baggy father came from Lebanon, baggy grand father came from (Iraq) basically they are all semitic people, but then again you have sampras who is a semite whos game is world apart
