Are there any tennis shoes with leather uppers still made?

Some of the KSwiss look like leather could be synthetic tho. models like the Defier for example. They look like they weren’t updated since the 80’s.

Adidas did make a leather Barricade for Movember about 5 or 6 years ago, I have a pair. I'd never play tennis in them. Adidas still makes suede Gazelles, more for walking around.

...Plus they are awesome casual shoes with shorts or jeans for just hanging out.

Can't agree. Of all the nice looking soccer/football shoes that can be worn casually, those aren't among the best. If that's the look you want, just go with Gazelles and be done with it. Not strictly soccer/football (or leather), but the same look and they go with everything.

I wish Adidas would release Gazelles that look like the Mexicanas from the 70s, those were my walking around shoes.

... in your opinion.
Gazelles are nice but, like opinions (and a**holes), everyone has them, while Mundials show you're a real athlete.
=> *my* opinion.

Yes, all opinions... but my opinion of Mundials is that they don't show you are an athlete, but rather a mediocre or wannabe soccer player (because players wearing them are usually just that).

They have quite a few different models with that look now. Same with Puma, and even the smaller brands like Lotto and Diadora. But that look is definitely the best.

Leather does feel better and more stable once they are broken-in. I understand the manufacturers using synthetics because it will be easier to control the quality and durability.

There is the Hypercourt Express Leather.

The tradeoff with leather is usually weight. Tennis shoes are somewhat heavy in general, so even if the synthetics aren't as comfortable or supple, they must think it is worth it for the lighter weight.

Lighter may mean less durability. With synthetics, it is easier to find that balance between the two.
