Im not a Murray fan. Obviously folks from the UK will like him, but for those who arent from there, why are you fans of Murray? From my perspective his defensive game isnt very exciting.

You may not find it exciting but its still one of the most effective in the game.
You really should try and watch a few more of his matches. Some of the shots he hits in defence are incredible!
I never cease to be amazed at people who purport to find him 'boring'!

I like murray the person. I appreciate how good he is. I hope he wins a lot of the time. I can't help finding him dull to watch though, that's the way it is.
His style of play and strokes have no flair or drama. He can hit an incredible shot and it will look workmanlike. That's not his fault but I would rather watch Stan the man. Like a Lexus in comparison to an Italian car.

I'm from the UK but I don't like him because he's British. I like him because he has such a great mix of shots, his fighting spirit, and the fact that he seems more like a real person, the fact that he doesn't really seem to like the media attention can relate to that, not a fan of media *****s really.
To be honest I quite like the fact that all the buffoonish English nationalists who hold a grudge against him and hate him because he didn't want England to win or because he wanted Scottish independence.
Don't find him boring at all. Never really understood why other people do.

Stan Wawrinka is great but he is not a flair player at all, he's a power player. Murray has far more flair than him.

If it's like today you can watch the other match on itv.com/frenchopen I believe. They did that today, was switching constantly between them. So never fear.

Never liked sport on ITV. They have a hundred useless channels, they could easily put both matches on TV.

Yeah couldn't agree more, the worst sports coverage pretty much, plus the sight of the smiling imbecile that is John Inverdale is always difficult to stomach.
Don't think they had that feature earlier in the tournament though which was really annoying because they had really poor choices of matches when much better ones were on like the low ranked British players or nadal against quentin Hayes or something like that rather than close or interesting match ups. Aimed at casual tennis fans rather than real ones, quite annoying.

I hope you are planning to watch online rather than the main ITV4 TV stream. Otherwise you are going to be very disappointed.

Murray-Ferrer without any hesitation, though I would have liked to watch both, perhaps. However I'm sure I'll be quite content to just keep an eye on the livescores between 2 players who, however good, I do not enjoy watching. Nadal's tics drive me mad and Djokovic is too robotic. At least I *think* that's why I don't enjoy watching him, but as I was a big fan of Lendl it seems a bit inconsistent.. . maybe I'm just older and wiser now.

Do you have to pay to watch it online from official ITV site?
Are they seriously going to show Ferrer/Murray instead of Nadal/Djokovic on the main TV channel coverage?

No you just go on there and you can click watch live I think and then you get the stream. No adverts as well it seems on that or maybe it's just adblocker works.
They will almost certainly show Ferrer-Murray on the main channel. They showed people like Heather Watson and that Bedene guy over far matches.
But watching on the site will mean you don't have to worry about it so never fear.

Yeah I think I would too. But it would be an easier decision a couple of years ago. Have a feeling this Nadal-Djokovic is going to be a bit of a damp squib.

I'd rather have a ticket to Nadal/Novak because I think Nadal can win, though I don't think he will.

You'd really be shocked if Ferrer won? Think he has a better chance than Nadal to be honest. 4-0 on clay and while I think Murray is the favourite with his recent form I don't think it's by that much.

Ive seen a lot but Ill admit probably not as much as you. He is a good defender I agree, but his shotmaking itself doesnt excite me much. On the other hand my favorite player is Monfils, also a defender, and he always seems to be doing something interesting. Ive played the game as I imagine you have as well, so I can appreciate Murray's defensive prowess and athleticism, it just doesnt spark that same emotion in me though.
I think part of the "boring" feeling comes from a non-tennis , personality perspective. He just doesnt have that coolness about him like Agassi had, or Monfils/Krygios have.

I am an Andy Murray fan, I am not from UK. England team is the team I hate to support in any sport. I like Andy because I find his game very attractive. If you seriously watch the different spin and different length shots that he hits to construct a point, you will start admiring him. A person cannot be top 4 for such a long time without any skills. He runs like a magnet towards the ball, also his movement and guessing of the ball will be close to perfect. It is not that I hate attacking tennis, I was a big fan of soderling, I still enjoy players like Tsonga. But to me Andy's tennis is very attractive.
