Are you tired of the Ncode 90 paintjob already?

Are you tired of the Ncode 90 paintjob yet?

I am, and am just wondering when Wilson will come up with a new PJ. It may not apply to everyone but the change from PS Tour 90 to the Ncode 90 was an improvement to me. So I'm having hope in yet another change. ;-)

Do you think Fed will still be playing the Ncode paintjob by Wimbledon? It's hard for me to think so because if/when he wins Wimby again this year Wilson can brag about the new PJ. Or will Fed's success make the Ncode a long-living legend like the PS 85?

Your thoughts?

Personally, I still like the red and white nCode 90 paintjob. I just wish they never made the nCode 95 with the exact same red and white paintjob. How stupid was that? It's so hard to tell what people are using unless you get really close up to it, because they look the same from a distance. I hope Wilson changes the paintjob on the nCode 95 while keeping the nCode 90's the same.

The new nTours look exactly like the old ones except with a slightly new paintjob at the 3 and 9 o'clock areas. This new paintjob is just the emphasized black and white ncode symbol found on all the 2006 nCode models. Ana Ivanovic and Jie Zheng use it.

And I think the red and white paintjob looks extremely nice. It's very high quality and one of the best of Wilson's flagship player series line since the Prostaff Classic 6.1 (of course this only IMHO). I really didn't like the paintjobs on the HyperProstaff 6.1 or the Prostaff Tour 90.

For some reason the Ncode paint just looks so awesome when players swing it. Especially Federer. The paint just makes the racquet stand out and specific points and it really allows you to see the player's stroke. This is hard to describe and so I probably sound like an idiot, but I think they look great.

I picked up one of the new nBlade 98's - I think it has a very cool paintjob and BTW a great racket, although not in the same league with the nCode Tour 90. However, I see a few of the lower level pros using the nBlade. I don't really see why Wilson would change the paint job on the nCode Tour 90 as long as Roger is having so much success with it (in spite of what the Nadal fans think!).

Like Sampras using the 95" recently - sorry BP, couldn't resist.

I have been told by Wilson that a new ncode 90 is coming out......no changes to the ncode 61 95 is planned yet, still selling well.

Any more details about the new nCode 90? How will it differ from the current one?

I really, really like the red paint with the leather grip. I usually like black or blue but for some reason that racquet just looks like a classic.

You're right! Sampras said that he's using the exact same racquet as Federer, and since Federer without a doubt uses the nCode 95, that means Sampras most definitely must be using a 95 also.

When it comes out I hope to see some of the old versions of the nSix One Tour 90 for sale on the message board. ;)

Sorry BreakPoint for responding so late, I did not see your post until today. My email exchanges with the big guy was in the context of new rackets coming out. I was looking for a high school or high level players racket which would be good to use other than the ones they had just brought out. The ncode61 95 is just not for everyone and the nblade is not meeting my expectations (but it is growing on me). All he said was that they have a 'new' ncode 90 coming out, no plans for a new ncode 61 95. With the new paint jobs on the ntours I've seen, I am guessing this will not be along those lines, since it didn't sell as well as the ntours. So I guess read what you want into that.....

Thanks, bdog!

Any chance you could "pry" some more details of this "new nCode 90" that's coming out from "the big guy"? How will its specs differ from the current nCode 90, and when is it coming out? Thanks. :D

Hello BreakPoint, wish I could say I had a picture of the big guy and me with my arm around him like we were buddies.....but no. I occasional shoot him emails (he is not a rep, actually the man) and he responds. We have met a few times and he is a great guy, but beyond that he is just being curtious when answering my emails. He is very tight lipped about future projects/rackets and only smiles when I press him for secrets. My favorite is when we are talking rackets, I will suggest improvements, specs and ideas to him and he will just smile and nod his head like it went into one ear and out the other (he must hear a lot of that from everyone......or my ideas are just plain stupid.....or both!). Anyway, he might give me a release date indication but probably not specs, either way, TWarehouse would know before me. It sucks not being important.

IMO, the Red and White nCodes look stunning and they are selling like hotcakes, so I think Wilson should keep it for a bit longer.

I think if it still sells well, they wont redo painting...unless they believe sales will increase even more than what they are already happy with.
