Pretty hopeless unless a miracle happens. Delpo can take down Thomas (not that it would be easy) but Pico defeating the Worm on carpet is very very unlikely :(

Delpo breaks to love to begin.
now serving 1 love

=======

consolidates the break 2 love

Delpo in complete control, breaks again after an UFE from Berdman's FH.

Berdych can't handle Delpo's rhytm from the baseline.

Things have turned around a bit, first Berdych avoided a breadstick at 5-1,then broke Delpo with some blistering return winners and held serve after that, now Delpo will serve for the set again.

have you seen that baby-faced ivo minar? the one who's gonna play monaco? is he any good?

p.s. tomas holds 4-5

Bad miss from Berdych but Delpo should have taken this set long before anyway.

Minar is playing Monaco? Why not Stepanek?

i believe radek was nursing an injury and was only able to play dubs, which he and berd did quite forcefully yesterday. the DC website still says minar. ========

juan martin still serving fine, holds to 15, 4 all

Well,Argies definitely have a good chance then.I didn't see Minar play many times,I remember him giving Fed a tough time in Dubai a few years ago and his match with Roddick at Miami last year.Has a very good serve from what I remember and solid hands at the net,his game is probably effective on this surface but Stepanek would be a way harder opponent.

game, set, match for delPotro/Argentina

to the winner goes the interview ...........

pico was robbed on that 3rd or 4th point of the TB where his ball was called out!

they have a great system of photographing the baseline and they slow the ball down enough to see exactly where it hits, and that one was in.

but maybe it evened out with the bad calls ... bottom line Czech Republic/Stepanek takes first set.

Congrats to Czech Republic,I think Stepanek's injury was kinda overblown perhaps but that's sport.

Yeah, it hurts but Czech Rep were the better team. It the same old history in the Argie team: a great nr1 player (like Nalbandian for the past six years) but a significant drop in quality in the 2nd. On the bright side, Delpo really has confirmed that he's top DC material. Hope that Nalby will come fine of his surgery and solved his differences both with Delpo and the AAT (argentine association of tennis).

Special mention to the Worm. Amazing player, really like the way he plays.
