Is this not a USTA league? I would say that you need to get the word out to more no. az people - I had not heard anything about this until now. Is it only men's teams?

The league is new which is why you have never heard of it.
Right now they only have a 4.5+ mens league. I don't see any expansion to womens or other NTRP divisions since the people driving this are all 4.5-5.0 male players. All the bumps ups from last season has left a lot of players with 5.0 ratings and no league to play in. Not much action is going on in the 4.5 mens USTA division so they decided to start this and combine the 4.5 and 5.0 players- all of whom were basically playing each other anyways just a year or two ago.
If you or someone is interested in joining please let me know asap, this league is invite only so thats most likely why you havent heard much about it, were trying to gather all 4.5 5.0 players in the valley and keep the competition tight. I have 5 days to gather 3 more players, any recomondations would be great, thanks again.

I see. I'm not really sure why you all aren't playing 4.5 or 5.0 (4.5's playign up) in USTA - if you all played you'd have enough to play in USTA wouldn't you? Or are you just fed up with USTA?
I was asking about N. az cause it looked like there might be teams in no. az from the url that I looked at for your league; and it looked like they were only in Prescott and Sedona and were not very organized. It did not look like anyone in Flag even knew about this league.
I'm a woman and 3.5 so I don't think I will be joining your team, but thanks for the invite. I won't be seeing any 4.5 men until probably Sunday; so I can not be very helpful in finding players.
