Title says it all. I’m wondering what the arm friendliest balls are? Is there anything out there similar to old Dunlop abzorbers? I’m focused on practice balls and how they play is secondary
What? Not to me, they are very good on hard courts and not soft. Heavy. What hard cover? The metal case?Although Slazenger balls are meaty they do feel softer. I’m not a fan of balls that have a hard cover.
I did a test with about 8 guys in a squad which including Slazenger Grasscourt, Wilson US Open, Head ATP, Tecnifibre X One, Dunlop AO and Forte, Wilson Trinity and Babolat Gold and most of the guys went the Slazenger. The Wilson and Tecnifibre balls are rocks when you get them out of the can, but not as bad as Penn balls or Trinity with Tretorn the worst. RS balls dudnt play that well. Probably Dunlop AO and Slazenger were the best. What? Not to me, they are very good on hard courts and not soft. Heavy. What hard cover? The metal case?
Unless you buys some old ones, like a store here was selling a model that was out of production for 5y (green case etc).
Yes I also prefer Slazenger Wimbly on hc and Dunlop Fort clay.I did a test with about 8 guys in a squad which including Slazenger Grasscourt, Wilson US Open, Head ATP, Tecnifibre X One, Dunlop AO and Forte, Wilson Trinity and Babolat Gold and most of the guys went the Slazenger. I think a lot will depend on what you are used to or what you grew up playing with but we noticed that all the balls that came out of Thailand factories were harder on the arms. It’s probably an individual thing but to us the Slazenger Wimbledon balls felt the best ( white , green and purple can with purple lid)
