Arm friendliest ball

Title says it all. I’m wondering what the arm friendliest balls are? Is there anything out there similar to old Dunlop abzorbers? I’m focused on practice balls and how they play is secondary

Although Slazenger balls are meaty they do feel softer. I’m not a fan of balls that have a hard cover.

What? Not to me, they are very good on hard courts and not soft. Heavy. What hard cover? The metal case?

Unless you buys some old ones, like a store here was selling a model that was out of production for 5y (green case etc).

I did a test with about 8 guys in a squad which including Slazenger Grasscourt, Wilson US Open, Head ATP, Tecnifibre X One, Dunlop AO and Forte, Wilson Trinity and Babolat Gold and most of the guys went the Slazenger. The Wilson and Tecnifibre balls are rocks when you get them out of the can, but not as bad as Penn balls or Trinity with Tretorn the worst. RS balls dudnt play that well. Probably Dunlop AO and Slazenger were the best.
I think a lot will depend on what you are used to or what you grew up playing with but we noticed that all the balls that came out of Thailand factories were harder on the arms. It’s probably an individual thing but to us the Slazenger Wimbledon balls felt the best ( white , green and purple can with purple lid)

I felt the last Dunlop ATP balls I used were softer than most others especially once the felt started fluffing up after a few minutes of use.

Yes I also prefer Slazenger Wimbly on hc and Dunlop Fort clay.

Good topic. I personally hate balls that are hard on the arm. Soft one? I like Babolat balls, the VS being really good but they stopped doing it . The Team is really good too. If you can find the Artengo balls where you are, the TB 920 is surprisingly quite good (it looks like the Babolat Team).

I used to use gamma pressureless in my ball machine. Injured my elbow and shoulder the last few years. Basically, pain after each session.

I switched to Penn heavy duty. Night and day. No arm or shoulder pain since the Spring.

I've been meaning to try more resilient balls like Triniti or Tretorn. Treton recently since the tennis spin review. However, both seem cost prohibitive compared to the penn and Corny keg. So far 12 cans (36 balls) last me about 30 sessions
