Arm friendly Prince racquets

Hi All,

I currently have 2 head microgel extreme pro racquets, they have been causing me some arm issues, I am currently looking into different string options to see if this helps, if not may look at some new sticks.

My coach is sponsored by Prince and he gets these cheap, so I may look at some Prince sticks, what are the more arm friendly ones.

I was looking at the speedport black which has similar specs to the Head Microgel Extreme Pro, according to TW specs, its stiffness rating is 70 compared to 68 for the Head, although some people say its still more arm friendly than the Head. Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

Any of the O3 racquets are really very arm friendly. The more flexy O3 racquets are ridiculously soft and dampened.

if you're looking to get rid of your pros and they're 1/2 drop me an email

i'm using the white now for singles and the extreme pro for doubles. they both have the same weight and set up though. the white is good but the string in it can make it or break it. some strings can make it play terrible but multifilaments seem to play great in it. a string i'm loving right now that i've strung my extreme pros, whites, and tour 90's with is head fxp power which is really arm friendly as well.

try the extreme @ 60 with fxp power 17. comfortable and lots of controllable power.

I must say the O3 orange speedport tour thingy is awesome. I haven't bought one yet, but my coach last year gave me all of them to try. I dumped the higher powered ones after a two shots. The black one was very fun - but the orange was just perfect - like my current triple threat hornet or something - same size head and body, just a little heavier and more swoooshy.

My very first racket (proper one mind) when i was 8 was the prince Tungsten 720 longbody - *sighs*. Oh how i miss thee old arm breaker.

All o3s are incredibly soft and nice but give great feedback. One triple threat gave me vibrations in the rist, but the red hornet (smaller head) fixed it. The o3s you can use without damping if you don't mind the sound.

luxilon alu and big banger helped it my old jobbie too.

Only problem with the orange is you have to get a speedport and an old-style one racket for flexibility, or get two oranges (speedport in and out). Or just be awesome with the control and weight but damn fast head movement of the speedport.

I was shocked how nice the holes sounded and how much faster i was swinging. gave my coach last summer something to think about compared to my paddy-cake playing with older rackets.

Prince Diablo MP--that is what I switched to from the Extreme Pro--it too caused me arm issues but none at all with the Diablo--I even use full poly in it with no trouble. :)

The guys have covered most of the racquets that I would personally consider and then some LOL!

1. Diablo MP
2. O3 Ozone Tour
3. O3 Tour Mid Plus
4. O3 White
5. O3 Hybrid Tour
6. O3 Ozone Tour Pro

Try and demo as may as possible to figure out which is best for you.

Cheers,

Arm problems usually have alot to do with bad technique, make absolutely sure thats not the case before switching, but can sometimes be credited to the racquet. As for a new stik try the o3 White, SP White (pro or reg. depending on what you want,) SP Tour, oZone Tour, and the oZone Pro Tour... All are extremely arm friendly.

Arm problems usually have alot to do with bad technique.

That's very true however, the OP has a coach so that may not necessary be the case.

The other advice would be to change to a softer multi or gut hybrid with lower tension rather than get whole new racquets.

The "tour" models tend to be softer. Also, with the Speedports, use the port holes because they are more foregiving. For your racquets, switching to a SP black would provide similar power/ weight.

I used quite a lot Prince rackets!
for me, I think POG OS is very nice, arm friendly. it is one of the best rackets for arm. In 2002, POG was rated as #1 in elbow safety by racquetresearch.com.
I have Prince O3 white, good for arm, nice spin.
I also have Prince O3 Ozone pro tour, soft, but less power for me. Properply I need to swing faster with this racket.

POG OS, Warrior OS, NXG OS

I have been using a POG OS for about 10 years. The only time I have had arm problems is when I strung it with a demo package of poly.
