Artengo Tr960 Control Tour

Artengo TR960 16x19 has more power than the Dunlop CX200, and substantially more power than the Ultra Tour 16x19. Far better serves, and better results overall. It is easier to play with if you have the whippy strokes.
[ I would imagine that if you try to hit flat, it will give you fits, as it has very wide string spacing and is not rigid. ]
( I have not played with Blade v8. )

How many of you change LeGads/LeMonf base grip to leather? What leather grip do you use and how many grams added after the swap?

I'd like to have more buttcap flare by replacing with leather grip. I currently put 2.5 overgrips on top of the factory base grip. 1 full yonex overgrip to add thickness, 1/2 overgrip to build the buttcap flare and 1 tourna megatac overgrip for my hand.

I think I have a nice buttcap flare after replacing my Head Gravity MP Auxetic base grip with Head Leather Grip (i can't remember prior the replacement) but I really like the shape now.

And since the U.S. now offers both patterns, that's likely 'both... and.' Yeah, the Tengos have very stiff competition from my C-10 Evo, which I'm loving more and more, and the EZ98, which is stubbornly brilliant--and won't stop being so.
Have you ever tried the ezone100 to compare with ez98? How's the ezone compare to the whippiness of the LeGads?

LeGads > ez98tour > ez100
On serve, ez98 is better though
Only racquet in my opinion that can compete with Tengo is the Babolat origin
Do you mean the Babolat Rafa Origin that has a hefty SW? What aspect do you think the tengo comparable to the Rafa Origin?

I've decided to put my EZ100 on local classified and see if it gets sold soon.

For most of you, how many rackets do you use on regular basis versus how many rackets do you own?

Does anyone know what Artengo plan to release moving forward. The TR 960 Control Tour has been a great release and just wondering whether they will keep making this frame or release some updates.

Saw some blacked out frames tested on Instagram. Silos seemed like the current TR990. They've been doing work with social media this past year. But I can ask and see what I info I can get.

They differ in feel and manoeuvrability but they stand the test against good players
Origin is incredibly stable
Tengo gives you more than you put in
Both fantastic racquets

I think that the Head Gravity Tour 2023 (with Auxetic tech.) is possibly a worthy competitor... Will give it a shot and report back in 2-3 weeks.

Gravity MP Auxetic 16x20 verson TR960CT 16x19?

Let the Gravity Tour 18x20 versus TR960CT 18x20, yeah?

Gravity MP and LeGads 16x19 are very close to each other. They are both whippy, soft, and feature wide string spacing. Power is the same.
To me, the slight preference goes to TR960. The Gravity MP felt nicer/softer on impact. LeGads has a rougher/ boardier feel. However, (1) I feel I am getting more power on serve, and better directed serve, and (2) I can add/remove weights from it. I feel that with Gravity I am ver much at the limit, and cannot play with customizations. Frankly, it does not need much adjusting. It is quite good for me the way it is. The only thing it perhaps needs is to string it tighter. With the same tension as on LeGads, it is much launchier. With respect to control, LeGads is a safer bet: it is easier to dial in the control than with the GMP.

Gotta find the LeMonf in the neighboring country's decathlon store. We only have the 16m.

How about Gravity MP & LeGads? Can compare or even can they switch one after another ?
Do that! The 18m is fantastic. Let's see if the Gravity Tour 2023 can come close / beat it! It has similar specs, just the headsize is slightly bigger.

Looking at the Gravity Tour 2023 thread, maybe @dr325i could already comment on the comparison between both sticks. It seems that he has already played with both frames.

You are right, I used the TR960CT for a few months and really liked it. Three things that made me switch: unable to customize it to get it more HL, right SW, without blowing up the static weight, and lack of grommets replacements, and grip shape.
So, it is not apples to apples comparison because my Gravity Tours are set up (strung) at 335g, 31,5cm, 332SW. The TR960CT was about 345g, 32.xcm and 332SW.
Even though I liked the TR960CT a lot, the Gravity Tour is better in (almost) every single aspect:
- grip shape -- pallets
- easier to modify
- slightly more power
- larger sweet spot (and for me, pushed toward the tip where my hitting zone is)
- about the same control
- slightly better spin access
- better and plusher feel
- better feedback
- moves easier through the air
- my FH is definitely better with the GTour
- my serves and 2HBH are about the same
- My BH slices have never been better than with my GTour

Cheers!! Very insightful, as always. Looking forward to playing with it next week. My only concern is my OHBH with a 100 in^2 frame. It worked very well with the Speed Pro... To my surprise. Maybe also with the Gravity Tour, despite the thicker (on the hitting surface) beam.

I think the Gravity has more flex than the Tengo, right? I feel the gravity is harder on returning heavy balls.

I fount the GT moving considerably easier through the air than the Auxetic 2.0 Speed Pro. That should hopefully work i. Your favor with the 1HBH once you adjust for timing

I have no issues blocking and returning heavy, former ATP pros balls. (My shoulders and legs do haha). I will have a former ATP pro staying with us for a week later today and his son who was a #1 in his region at 14. I’ll report more on that.
Yes, the Gravity tour feels much softer than the TR960CT

i put the leGads down for a bit as I start the next journey with the PC2.0. But i'm really keen on the LeMonf. Anyone have one in L3 for sale?

In europe you can easily find them. @taylor15 let me know if I can help?

I’ll take 10 of them and Taylor will take X, we can combine shipping! Thanks for the offer!

Lead just at 12 to push the Swingweight up?

I'm not sure why, but the GT was one of the best frames I've ever hit for my 1hbh.

On a whim I grabbed my LeGads 16x19 and threw it in the bag when I practiced today. Mine is in stock form and the strung/OG weight is 326 with a 319 SW. Not sure what tension I strung it at but I am guessing it is in the 40's.

Pretty sure I posted in here that unstrung was pretty dead on spec with a 290 SW.

Regardless I was pretty shocked at how much power I could get out of the frame in stock form. Kind of defies physics almost. Really nice ball feel and contact feels good.

I am going to throw it in the bag and play some matches next week with it and see how it translates to the court, but I was enjoying it. If you all are saying the Gravity Tour plays even better and feels better, that is pretty impressive. Probably pretty hard to track one down in the US though. My main issue with the Gravity Pro was the weight and the power was a bit low for my SW grip/topspin game. But the Legads appears to have plenty of power on tap. It will be fun to compare it to my Extreme MP in point play.

Also may throw some Head Lynx Tour in it and see how it plays with a little more weight in the head. The Lynx adds around 5 SW points.

The Gravity Tour is the one to compare it too (same beam width, weight, and even SW), not the Gravity Pro. The GT is 100 in^2. I feel that the Head Touch works better in the TR960s than the Lynx Tour.

How about the Head Hawk vs Head Hawk Touch (I'm assuming you're talking about the head hawk touch)

Yeah I’m not sure I’ll get my hands on the gravity tour since we can’t order from twe anymore. It’s a shame.

I don’t Have any hawk touch.

The gravities don't play as well as the LeGads, no way
Unfortunately decathlon will not put the ''real'' Monfils (350 g etc) racquet on the market anymore
PS: head hawk touch is great but at around 22/20 kgs (49/44 lbs) not less not more

Just tried Alu Power, Hawk Touch, and Lynx Tour. Preference also in this order. But for the wallet: Hawk Touch, Lynx Tour, Alu Power!
LXN is just too pricey in my area too. thanks, I will try hawk touch then. So far lynx tour is just okay but it's still better than the toroline wasabi & grapplesnake sniper that I tried on.
