Artengo Tr960 Control Tour

Is the 97p your current racquet of choice?
No sold it little while back. Have too many racquets and too little time to play. I don’t have main racquet anymore. I just grab something that I think would be fun to try and sometimes it click and sometimes does not lol

Thank you

tomorrow will be 2 weeks post op from my TKR

Tennis is not on my mind....as much as it is on my mind. Trying to have a positive outlook.
Just take one day at a time. Looking too far ahead sort of makes you sort of depressed, at least for me it did. Just do the bast you can each day. Each day to heal a little more and get stronger.

Seems the sale on the 18x20 model has stopped. Last time I had checked there was no end date on that sale; maybe I'm remembering wrong, or they changed their minds. I may also sell mine soon™ with their grommets, I'm not playing as much this year as I thought I would and can get by with the scraps in my closet.

Where can you find this media release?
I'd like to take a look at it
You can have a look at the PDF version here
Page 9 in particular lists the sub-brands, but mentions Kuikma as the "racquet" brand instead of Artengo. Kuikma is their Padel brand so that would be a shame... My guess is that the tennis gear will switch to "Decathlon", the main brand, instead. I noticed Monfils' current clothing has not changed in terms of color and design, but the logo has switched from Artengo to the new small "Decathlon" logo.

Oh yes I’ve seen that watching his match against nishesh yesterday. The logo jumped out because I have both the pink and blue versions of that shirt. Love the Monfils tennis clothes btw, I wear the shorts on all my comp matches cause I find them so comfortable, I own 2.

I've put mine up for sale. I play far less tennis than I thought I would, so I don't have a reason to keep three nearly identical sticks when I'm not doing any competitive tennis. I'm just riding some of my miscellaneous rackets for fun when I feel like playing.

Played with LeGads in a match yesterday and felt great but lack a bit power after the balls felt a bit flatter after the first set. I then closed the 2nd set with textreme tour 100 310. The LeGads got comfort and control, felt like an extension of my arm and easy to swing on baseline and at net. The current weight is 334 grams with HyperG soft 17g at 40lbs.

I'd say the new model or cosmetic rebrand is imminent. Likely for the french open or right before it.
In France Decathlon is selling LeGads for 89,99€ now (still available online) and LeMonf has some stock in stores only so the price is down to an all-time low 63€!

Some new beginner models are starting to pop on Decathlon's website. With the sub-brand "Kuikma" that was previously exclusive to the Padel category, as well as the new small Decathlon logo. Same thing on apparel, except "Kuikma" is printed inside the collar, only the small logo is visible on the outside

Interesting. Hopefully we see an update to the Tr960 control tour with that purple paintjob from that social media video a few pages back.

Doesn't make sense to axe the Artengo brand and start completely from scratch with another name after signing Monfils and trying to build it up.

Artengo is also a much better name than "Kuikma", it seems more connected to Tennis, now it feels like tennis players are second class citizens on the padel brand...

The new Decathlon Monfils stick is available now (in Europe, 16x19 version) and it's called KUIKMA CONTROL Pro 305 16x19.
Same head size, weight (305g), balance (31.5cm) and swingweight (285kg·cm² unstrung) as the previous ARTENGO TR960 CONTROL Tour 16x19

Only one picture available and no description of any eventual change or upgrade (not that surprising, as this seems to be an early soft launch, while Gael was still playing with the previous paintjob in Stuttgart).
I do notice glossy paint, which is a good thing as the previous model had a soft touch coating that wasn't lead tape friendly at all.

Putting the previous model below if anyone notices a difference in mold shape

Has @JGads been involved in all of this?

When it is indeed glossy, that would probably solve the issue of the previous version (lead didn’t stick)… : )

Oh, I had no idea. If that is indeed purple gloss, that’s amazing. Just checked the local online store and it has the listing (for 16x19 only) but says none are currently in stock in any grip.

Not sure if I’ll bite or not but check back with me one morning around 1:36 am.

In Brazil the decathlon stores already have the new shorts and tee shirts Gael is using in the orange (clay season) and purple (probably HC season) color schemes

On the Decathlon France website the rebranded tennis balls are already up as well.

I wonder what they’re gonna do with the tennis bags with this update, I really liked the black thermobag they sell and gael uses

It does look like they’re rebranding to the Kukima name, as the Asian store I’m at right now is replacing Artengo branded clothes and tennis balls with Kukima brand.

Its available now
( at least in Europe)
Thanks for updating everyone.

I instantly purchased one in Grip size 3 16x19. Due for delivery on 22/07. £94.99 (UK price).

I hope it's not just a cosmetic update. I'm hoping for slightly more stability and slightly more comfort.

I wanted to get one early this time, as the last model initially came in a gloss finish, then they changed it to a more satin paint.
