Place you’ve ever watched a tennis match?
Over the years I’ve watched tennis in some crazy places and crazy countries.
The Gambia in a shack Federer vs nadal Indian Wells 2012 locals didn’t know what was going on with the tennis and I didn’t because there was human **** floating around on the toilet floor and the beer cost like 20 cents/pence
Las Vegas in Caesars palace casino federer vs nadal 2012 Australian semi gambling on a classic like that was an experience
Longboat key retirement home Federer vs Djokovic 2011 French semi was a really strict place with loads of rules and I was charging around like some sort of mad bull
Nashville bar on broadway had to ask the bar staff like 6 times a tip them for them to put on Federer vs Murray 2015
Disney land Florida Epcot sports bar for the Federer vs Murray 2010 Australian final
New York City Essex house hotel room the Federer vs soderling french final 2009 girlfriend at the time was not happy
Mallorca English run pub Federer vs Murray 2012 Wimbledon the whole bar of drunken English people were screaming for Murray apart from me and my dad nearly ended in a brawl
Cologne in a huge beer joint Federer vs Djokovic Wimbledon final 2014 great experience and got absolutely hammered
Madrid in a locals bar downtown for the wawrinka vs nadal Australian 2014 let’s just say I wasn’t popular
Literally hundreds more.
I’ve watched on trains, in airport bars, the middle of the night, all throughout days at work, I recently watched the Tsitsipas nadal yec match at work.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to experience Sampras matches like this because of my age when Pete was playing. I’m 31 now. I fell for Pete in the 1998 and 1999 Wimbledon semi finals against henman and then in the 1999 final against Agassi had me sold.
As everyone knows Sampras is my all time favourite Player with Federer being second but some of the times I’ve had watching Federer around the world and with my dad are unforgettable moments. What a player he is and has been. I watched the Djokovic round robin match with my dad last week and it was another special Rodge moment.
God tennis is a great sport
