>>> As Promised: REDONDO MID 93 TEST ... very long <<<

Anirut!!! I've found a new love ... and she's called TXE!!!

You're right, man! No regrets, she's a beauty! Only drawback is that she's a little short at 26 inches. Maybe some high heels would do the trick ...

I had a date with her last night, together with T10VE mid and C10 Pro and these are my initial views:

I love the stiffness of the TXE and it has great feedback albeit a little harsh. But that's what makes it a great racquet. The small headsize of abt 81 is very deceiving in comparison to the 93 and 98 of the other two as I could comfortable rally with great confidence.

The area where this racquet worked the best was for 1BH. The heft and stiffness allowed me to hit like never before, a la Federer style. Very pinpoint accuracy with lots of pace.

The only room for improvement is in the serve. It takes a while to get used to it because it's a little underpowered, and at only 26 inches long, I had to get a bit more height on my swing.

Volleys were rock stable because of it's balance and heft. I only wish that modern racquets could match the TXE in this department.

Just my personal 2 cents worth.

I only had to put her down as the broken grommet bits found its way into the frame and was causing an irritating rattle ...

BTW, would you know how I can get hold of some replacement grommet strips in Bangkok that are as close as possible to the TXE? I was advised by another poster, Deuce, to cut the strip into individual grommets and fit them into the empty holes.

Reason why I'm asking you is that replacement grommet strips are almost impossible to find here as racquet shops are more interested in trying to sell you a new frame.

Do let me know soon as I will be leaving for Bangkok tomorrow morning.

Hi Jono,

I'm in the same boat. I can't find any grommet for it. Once you're here I'll show you what you can do. I'll be off to "Klongthom" for the saturday night market in a couple of minutes. Will see if there's any option for the grommet for you (and me too).

As for the TXE, it's not only me that like it, my son likes it too. I don't allow him to play with it though, because if he gets stuck with it, we can't find a replacement to match it's capabilities.

See you in BKK tomorrow, matey.
