Huh? She only just returned to tennis in the middle of 2016 after leaving the sport for cricket. Start of this year was ranked outside the top 200 and is now going to be top 20. Oh and she's also top 20 in doubles and made a slam final.

She's barely had a chance to prove consistency but in the time she has, she's shown she's got what it takes.

My posts from 2015 and 2016 from an 'Ash Barty next GOAT' thread (I didn't create the thread, that was @smoledman way back in 2013 after she made 3 slam doubles finals. She's been on quite a few radars for some time, and as an Aussie I'm loving it!

My favorite female player with a beautiful all court game. Absolutely unique in WTA at the moment. I watched most of her matches live this week and she's playing very solid at the moment. Such an icon and role model for aussie sport. I hope she goes far in Melbourne
 
I like Ash Barty, she is phenomenal player. You don't think of her as one of the better players in the WTA, but she really is. She is a feisty little Aussie and her play on the court does the talking for her. I like her attitude and demeanor also, at 22 I'm sure she'll have more than a few titles in her career.

Maybe Nadal will have the honor of being considered the male Ash Barty when he wins a big hard court tournament this year. Of course, he'll have to reach a final without quitting first.

No-one here said Federer is "the greatest" volleyer, but he is certainly great.

* Almost 2 Times more Points with the Volley than his Rivals on Average

inspite of nadal going in clearly easier volleys on average and having slightly better passing shots than Federer, he's still behind Federer in terms of success% at the net.

Before she started playing competition singles again I watched her warm up for a doubles competition.

From a distance of 100 metres away my first impression of her - very short with the most natural looking volleys I've ever seen by some margin.

Come on, Federer is better at the net, no need to dispute that, Nadal can't be the best at everything. There are also other things Nadal can do and Fed can't.

It's just that people for some reason are biased towards certain talents. Nadal said that running fast is also a talent.
I don't really know what the reason is why people are biased towards certain talents. This is about all sports and was even before Federer, so it's not the delusion of Fed fans.

It is called "earning credibility". The poster you are addressing has already been outed as intentionally trying to make the Federer fanbase look bad by posting provocative sweeping statements against other fanbases on behalf of the entire Federer fanbase. Here and there vouching for Federer for obvious truths help with earning the credibility to continue with that act.
