Asics Court FF3

"clearly"?

Literally looks nothing like the GRX :-D
I remember yesterday or so there was an Instagram story from their account which shows how that sketch "transformed" into the actual GRX. Also the posts about GRX keep mentioning about "comfort" and "confidence" which are also stated in the post which shows the sketch. Hence, I cannot see how that sketch is not GRX now.

Anyone wearing these with wide feet? More 2E with wide square toes shape? I wore them in store and I liked the springiness of the shoe. Not sure how fit would be on court though...

I'm around a 2E and wear true to size (US10.5) and haven't had any issues wearing them on the court. I do wear an orthotic which helps support arch and some other things so that also helps in the sense of keeping my foot in proper position. I'd imagine if one doesn't have that your foot could splay within the shoe and the width may not work for you.

For those that are wearing the FF3 can you address an issue I had with them when I tried them when they came out two years ago? I never actually took them out on court since I was so turned off by the elevated feel.

When I first tried the FF3 I sent them back right away due to not feeling connected to the ground. It felt like the shoe had a 0.5 to 1.0 inch lift in it. I usually like to feel connected to the ground.

I am back and going to try the FF3 out again, due to the GR9's getting replaced by the new GR X.

My question, is did you also notice the "lift feeling" when wearing them before playing in them? If so, did your feet eventually sink in and feel more connected to the ground?

No they always feel slightly elevated, and bottom heavy. Firm comfortable, high quality, but not nimble at all, observed on myself and on several friends whose movement also declined a lot when they went with Court FF3. And they bend through the middle which I particularly don't like

What is omnicourt? Will they wear out more quickly than regular tread patterns? Any plans to release this colorway was the standard soles? Sorry for all the questions. These shoes look great, just need some info on what omnicourt entails.

Thanks.

No way you can play this in Hard Court

Artificial grass/clay.
May sound like a dumb question but has anyone seen a difference between these and FF3 clay when playing on clay/hard Tru? Just curious if there is any benefit to consider buying the OC version over the clay if you primarily play on hard Tru?

I play on Har-Tru clay courts 95% of the time and would also like an answer to this. Is the “OC” outsole good for clay?

Edit: Did a quick search and Omnicourt is a synthetic grass, so I think the “OC” outsole is probably a bad choice for clay or hard court.

I felt this too, I really like the design and feel of the shoe but it just feels heavy and slow. What did you or your friends end up going for that was similar with maybe better play-ability?

I loved the court ffs but they were just a little too heavy, and I found that the lacoste ultras were just as stable but a little quicker/slightly more nimble. Loving these, but now I'm excited about the new Nike Vapor 12s (hated the 11s)

I love the look of the Vapor 12s but I'm just afraid they won't have enough support like the FFs do.

Court FF3 actually bend through the middle, the plastic insert is not a stiff shank at all, that was a problem for me. I went for Barricade and Vapor 12, both great, super stable, large stiff shank. Barricade maybe better lateral stability, and lower to the ground, and Vapor 12 is slightly softer, more room for the toes, and better outsole. Both are more stable than Court FF3

After 2 months of testing ff3 speed I am back to court ff 3. As much i like overall speediness of ff3 speed they lag heavily on sole cushion. They are one of the worst shoes I ever used in terms of bottom cushioning….. it’s like playing barefoot. They have triggered back my plantar fasciitis….. i am getting easily tired by wearing them. Speed ff 2 were plush and pretty good on cushioning….. asics went too far with their weight trimming on 3s….. they must found again the sweet spot of lightness and minimal cushioning on their speed ff 4! Also the stability and lockdown on speed ff 3 is pretty mediocre.
