asics gel challenger

I have been using Asics gel challengers for a number of years now.
The latest ones for sale now are the challenger 10.
The challenger 10 says to order 1/2 size smaller as they run big.
Are they comparing that size to the old challengers or to the rest of the Asics line up as I would like to get the size correct, as I typically wear size 12 in all the past Asics Challengers and would hate to order 11&1/2 and find out it is too small. Anyone hear use the Challengers that would know?
Thanks. Jim

My experience is the Asics Gel 10s run a bit wide compared to Adidas or Nike. If you have wide feet you may prefer the Asics.

Hi Jim,

Our fit descriptions refer to the "average" size. So if you are ordering a size 10 and we say we recommend ordering a half size smaller because they run big, we mean, if you ALWAYS wear a size 10, a size 9.5 should work for your foot as we find them to run larger than the average size 10.

Hope that makes sense! Also, if you do order shoes and they happen to fit too big or too small, we do offer free returns and would be happy to get you into the right size (just don't wear the shoes around and on the court, just try them on inside on carpet).
