Asics Gel Res 8 release date?

Any word on when Asics Gel Res. 8 will be released ?

I've been a long time GR user. I was able to use the same size thru GR5, which was great.

Then the sizing/fit changed in GR6. They were longer and narrower in my normal size, but fortunately, I was able to go down a 1/2 size and bought the Wide model which was available in GR6. I actually really liked the fit of this one. I only wish I had stocked up with more of them since I now can't find them anywhere.

I heard GR7 is narrow and since GR7 is not available in Wide, I haven't tried it.

I'm now down to my last pair of GR6-Wide. I'm hoping GR8 will be less narrow than both GR6 and GR7.

Anyone have any details on the release date and sizing/fit of GR8 ?

Unfortunately, you're going to have to hang tight for a bit longer. As from what we have been told, there will not be any updates to the Gel Resolution for a while.

And unfortunately, the WIDE option has been discontinued.

A couple options to take a look at would be the adidas SoleCourt Boost, Diadora Blushield 2 and the New Balance Fresh Foam Lav. All three of those shoes offer a wider fit and great stability. Also note, you can order shoes from us and try them on (on carpet, don't wear them on the court) and if they don't work, just return them for free!
