Asics Gel Resolution 9 vs. Solution Speed FF3

Hello,

Question about knee comfort.

I am choosing between Solution Speed FF3 VS. GR9.
I've worn Sol. S (an older generation model about 8 yrs. ago?) and it felt fine.

Now, I am leaning toward buying SS again but now that I'm middle age, I am thinking maybe I should buy the one w/ more cushion, ie. GR9.
FYI, I don't get to play often (mostly summer) and I weigh 75kg, and I don't play competitively, all court player style.
No major knee surgery history or anything but just typical aches that comes w/ aging so I do my knee/leg exercises given by my physiotherapist.

So is there anyone who has worn Solution Speed long term experienced any knee issues?
To rephrase, is more cushioning better for your knees, in this case? (SS vs. GR9)
Obviously more cushion is prob. better but does SS provide enough?

So far from trying them at a store, I found

SS
pros: lighter than GR9. It doesn't hurt my left upper part where the shoe bends.
cons: Little stiff? Cushion feels quite flimsy.
I need a long term shoes since I don't play ALL year long, I don't wear them out easily.
I can go 3 yrs w/out buying a new pair. So it better be the right ones.

GR9 Pros: nice cushioning
Cons: little heavy but I can get use to it, I think.
My LEFT foot hurt little where the shoe bends in the front. Not sure if cutting those extra ribbons at the front will alleviate it?
I found the Wine/Red color model was not hurting so I will have to choose that model if I buy GR9.
The wide model didn't hurt but I'm afraid it will stretch as years go by.

Any advice appreciated.
