Asics Gel Resolution 9

Wides are also available in Asia. Most Asian sites will ship globally.
Asics has a manufacturer restriction in place though, just depends on if some sellers decide to go against it or forget about it. That or you potentially need to use some reshipping service.

I tried ordering clay Solution Speed FF2s in a colorway that wasn't available here in the states from TW Europe. It didn't let me advance after I put in my shipping details. Have had same thing happen with Lacoste before.

I was really tempted to do this for the white/pitch green vintage outsole Asia colorway, such a great look. But for a US10.5, too scared that the shoe would not fit (would be between a 28-29) or sizing between markets could possibly be inconsistent.

I bought true to size but forefoot is little bit wide on sides, would that cause too much problem? It seems my feet is wider than Solution Speed and narrower than Gel Resolution.

Hello,

For those who found the strap hurting your foot, have anyone cut the strap off and found relief?
Or did the shoe become too loose?

Thanks for any advice.

Has anyone seen Asics GR9 Wide available in Europe? It seems they are available only at TW US / Asics US, but even Asics Europe offers only standard width
Europe does no wide. Every other market globally does wide. Ironically they sell wide running shoes in europe when you question them on this their response is we sell 3 times as many running shoes than tennis

And my response is so those people in europe with wide feet do exist then? And if they want to play tennis why cant they get wide GR9's then

The logic flabergasts me

I find the sizing to be the same i got a friend to bring me a wide from asia and a standard from asia the sizing is identical

I think Singapore uses the same size scale as the US, so on their website there is a 10H size. However, US 10.5 is 28.25 cm in Asia, and this size doesn't exist in certain regions (at least Japan, where the vendor was selling from). I'm definitely tempted, still, but for now I'm sticking w/ my Paris colorway.

Surely japan uses the US sizes still as like asics is uniform

There are def people in asia and japan with US10.5 feet it is hardly that large lol

Wear US10.5 by the way in the standard width and US10 in wide and the fit was identical to the ones in the UK

I didn't mean it that way, I meant that 10.5 is 28.25cm, which is not a size that at least Asics carries. So you either have to buy 28 or 28.5. On my personal Gel Res 9s, they are a US 10.5, but label also says 28.25cm.

So the japanese ones dont offer 10.5?

Here in the uk some third party retailers dont offer it either i noticed

Like decathlon and sports direct dont carry US10.5 only 10 or 11

Depends on country and what size scale they use. It's not a blanket statement for all countries in Asia, but specifically the seller on the marketplace I was looking at only sold ones measured in cm. However, on the Singapore Asics site, for example, they use the US scale, so they have size 10.5.

I have no self control, so I did end up ordering from a 3rd party, but in size US 10.5

Oh, they fit beautifully, you were 100% correct, same sizing. If I didn't mention it before, they made it to me from Hong Kong by way of the 3rd party seller. I'm extremely happy w/ the purchase, this is probably my favorite colorway for Gel-Res 9s. I love this classic, vintage and simple look.

Anyone wearing these with a wide mid foot? Mid sole is super comfortable, but the dynawall plastic is really quite uncomfortable on lateral movements and wondering whether it will change over time?

I don't think so. I used to have cuboid bone pain in my left foot (basically where the Dynawall is), and I changed shoes to the NB CT Rally until I managed to fix my foot. I have 4E wide feet and I'm using the wide version already. Normally, I can feel the Dynawall bit but it didn't hurt pre-injury. So it's a feature, not a bug.

Should I switch to the Gel 9's?

I am on my 5th month of using the Gel 8's. I really like them. I used thr Solution Speeds before that, and the Vapor Tour 9's before that.

Debating on switching to the 9's or giving the ON RF's a try.

I’d switch to the 9s if they fit. They last longer than the 8s for me, I get more life out of the foam and rubber.

The White/Pitch Green with the off-white vintage looking outsole is slowly selling out, plus it seems to exclusive to ADC. Not sure if it is a sign that we're getting Gel-Res 10s soon or stock gets scarce at the end of the year. Decided to stock up on a 2nd pair b/c I absolutely love this colorway. However, found out ADC has me blocked. I ended up returning a pair of Gel-Res 9s earlier this summer to them after finding a much better price at TW, but the return was a random $16.51 less than I paid. Contacted them about it, but had no response for 4 weeks, so I filed a dispute. I guess it ended up flagging me now on their website.

I did have someone else order a pair for me, but I've never had an order fulfilled without an issue from Asics. I've never had a good experience having to deal w/ customer service at Asics before.

I can't figure out who you mean by ADC

It’s impossible to find Gel Res 9 clay right now except for two janky colorways. I keep hoping online retailers will restock but no dice. I guess this is a sign of Gel Res 10 being on the near horizon?

so after two whole years, do the majority of Res users find that the 9th generation was better or worse than the 8th generation?
I think Asics did some kind of teaser that they are going to release something soon. Just they didn’t specify what, GR or FF

Better. For my feet at least. Firmer, faster, more stable. Soft where it matters. Also wider in the forefoot.

Recently been mixing it up with Yonex Eclipsion, tho. What an awesome shoe. Faster and lighter than Gel res with a great feel. Not as supportive, however, so Gel Res is still my go to when I add up a lot of hours on court.

Hey guys, been using Gel Res 8's since April (After using Solution Speed for the previous few years). Sole is almost dead, so time to get new shoes.

Should I get another pair of Gel Res 8's or switch to the Gel Res 9's? I've really enjoyed the 8's with it my first time using them.

Have you considered trying half a size up to get the other colour way gel res 9's?

I need size 9 wide so i use 9.5 instead as cant get wides in europe

I find the width is identical just the length is a bit longer

Never tried that. I'm afraid to do that because of the extra room in front of my orthotics.

So is gel resolution 10 coming out next year?

The gel res 8's had a 3 year life cycle so i imagine the 9's have one more year of colourways

Yeah already confirmed. Usually Asics has 3 year cycle and it should be the year for releasing the Court FF4 instead of Gel Resolution 10. My guess is that Novak does not want to change his shoes in the what-could-be final year of his career and they opt to rejuvenate the Gel Res line instead.
