Asics Gel Resolution 9

Yeah already confirmed. Usually Asics has 3 year cycle and it should be the year for releasing the Court FF4 instead of Gel Resolution 10. My guess is that Novak does not want to change his shoes in the what-could-be final year of his career and they opt to rejuvenate the Gel Res line instead.
Are there any pics of the gel res 10

Better buy up the gel res 9's i want as i may not like the 10

Surprised they have changed to the 10 after only 2 years

Judging from the photos/ig posts released so far, it is just a facelift of GR9. But it is understandable, GR line is their best selling model and my take is that since GR5 or 6, every new model is just a minor update/facelift of the previous versions. They simply have no incentive to make bold changes like those from speed ff2 to ff3.

The 5 6 7's are so ugly they look so different from the 8 and 9 lol

the back of the shoe is pretty different from what I saw. medial side looks taller than the lateral almost like a mid top

Visually or aesthetically they are definitely different. But the feel or performance are still top notch and under the same design DNA.
8 and 9 have more lateral stability. I don't like this (feels clunky, and especially on serve I want to supinate the left foot more). 7 were absolutely perfect for me. It seems they needed to make more room for Court FF in the middle and moved Resolution and Speed more to the extremes.

Actually GR line is the one in between at least in terms of weight. As proved by many, Court FF3 actually weighs more than GR9. But both are very nice shoes.

The Resolution 10 is essentially revealed in this so-called "CONFIDENTIAL" Asics shoe. Looks like the shiny bits in the midsole is just the Dynawall.

It has variable lace eyelets, and perhaps most curiously has a raised ankle portion on the medial side of the shoe, almost like a basketball shoe. Wonder what's the rationale for that?

It says Gel Resolution on the side of the shoe lol

A wider/roomier Resolution shoe from ASICS - really great news for those of us that need it and miss it.

I need to see the colourways first. Otherwise, absolutely no qualms getting this Res 9 on sale.

Really wondering how that higher ankle will be. The 8/9 for me had small heel slippage and maybe this will fix it? And also wondering if they changed the Flytefoam.

I kinda like them :(
As soon as I tried them on they pinched the mid outter of my foot. Judging by these recent pics it appears they replaced the material of the dynawall from plastic to rubber.
Edit: after watching the video the plastic part seems to be placed more down on the shoe, towards the ankle. Makes more sense to me.

Same here. Such a good looking shoe, but the pressure on the outside in the middle is too much. I hope they fixed it.

When will ver 10 be in store, do you guys know?
I can hardly wait to buy some 9s clay on sale, as I've just ruined for the first time in my life, my second to last pair (ripped upper and the sole is also coming loose a bit around the heel)....

@Gerco Did you guys cut those elastic bands? It helps a bit. Also you could stretch the shoes...
Trusting on cutting something out or waiting for a break in can get expensive when it doesnt deliver the result you hoped for. For me it was always kind of risky.

I love them on clay, during to GRs having the deepest thread....

Have you compared them yourself with GRs clay?

No sorry, i cant play the GR9 because it doesnt fit my foot, but i heard it from multiple hitting partners. Yonex clay sole is something different, almost too stick.
I prefer not to start match season with new Yonex shoes but rather grind them down a little bit indoors.

For ankle stability so you dont roll your ankle

Yes. I'm a 2E and wear the wides. My son and I wear the same size shoe and he has the regular width GR9s. Trying them on I can noticeably tell the difference.

thanks! the regs i use feel just a tad narrow, so i was curious on how much wider the 2Es are. i may get a pair to try out.
