I just started using my GR8Ws and RP4.5Ws. I'm going to have to get through those before purchasing any new pair of tennis shoes.

I will say that I'm sold and plan to purchase the GRXWs next.

They're currently in stock at TW. If you got a backorder notice before, that's an error, but you have to reach out to them to get the shoes shipped out.

I am only seeing the purple one in stock. You mean others are too? Even the website says they are on backorder?

Hi!
I own a pair of GR9s that I’m relatively happy with. The only issue is the discomfort and occasional pain caused by how the Dynawall presses against the outside of my feet.
I’m guessing this might be related to my supinated feet.

Is there possibly more padding between the foot and the Dynawall in the GR10 compared to the GR9?
I’ve also been considering whether the Court FF3 might suit my feet better, without the Dynawall. I’m looking for a stable shoe that protects against ankle rolling and works well for high arches.

I wish I lived closer to a store where I could try out the shoes, so I’m grateful for any information.

Have you tried removing the laces and relacing the shoe with your foot inside?

For those that have worn the Gel Resolution 9s and tried the gel resolution X, would you recommend getting the same size or going down a half size for the gel resolution X?

Got the Black/Orange, absolutely good looking shoe. They are quite comfortable underfoot. They feel stable and supportive. However, as someone who likes to slide in to and out of shots on a hard court...these are so STICKY out of the box. I used the GR9s and they were very responsive and did what I needed of them. These kind of have stickiness of the Court FF3s. Hopefully they release a little better as i wear them out and break them in because they are a great feeling shoe.

they just released like 5 colors 10 days ago. prob not for at least 1.5 months

I know, i just dont like the colors they released and my Eclipsions are losing grip/profile.
Its around 3 months to go until outdoor clay season and competition.

FYI regarding size. Got my GRXs today.

I already have a pair of GR8 in size 8, which were borderline too small, so I had to cut off the Dynawrap strap for them to fit okay, as well as a pair of GR9 Clay in size 8.5, which fit perfectly except that the Dynawall sometimes feels a bit too stiff.

I ordered my GRXs in size 8 because I’d heard they run large. But they felt surprisingly too small for me. I don’t think this would improve over time. So I’ve returned them and hope that size 8.5 will fit better.

(I’m not sure if the GR9 Clay has a different sole compared to the "regular" GR9, so that might be the reason?)

My orders are here too. Regular 10.5 fits good. Definitely wider toe box. There is some heel slippage feel. Tying with the last two outer holes seems to help. Going to try tomorrow to tell.... There is no complaint with weight increase from my son at least.
upper seems harder. I can hear a click sound while he is walking

Ahhh, I started getting that sound/feeling too. It is above the toes where the upper flexes. It doesn't hurt but it's annoying nonetheless!

Side by side comparison with my son's worn out R9. PGuard looks not high enough

Send us another pic in a month.

I doubt any shoe is going to truly hold up long term to destruction like that.

It appears the higher guard might keep the whole side of the shoe off the court a little more though... not just in that particular wear zone

yeah. That's my hope. The material feels harder too. So hopefully I don't need to start applying shoe goo just couple weeks out for R9.

Ended up trying these today, since I could return them (even used) and I’ve long been an Asics loyalist with my favorites being the original Speed 2, Gel Res 5, Court FF (original) and Gel Res 9 (with straps cut). But I just don’t like them. I ordered a half size down from my GR9 size, as reviews indicated, but feel I would have been better off trying my regular size as maybe I’d have liked the wider fit as my wide forefoot barely gets along with the GR9, but just barely. But since it gets along at all and I have a very stubborn foot I decided to go with the suggested half down in this since Rackets and Runners said a half size down was even wider than the half size up GR9. For me, I found them to be the same, and the insoles are exactly the same width and shape to my eyes. Then add the even more stout dynawall all around the shoe, which I really felt at the midfoot, and side comfort as well as upper comfort was definitely less.…

While the heel seems more cushioned, I just felt that the whole shoe felt clunky. Overdone. My heel slipped a bit even with a super tight lace up, and once that super tight lace up was done I was being strangled with dynawall pressure on the sides plus lace/upper pressure from the more stiff rubber up top.

All in all I can only say that by the end of the session my feet were aching to be out of these, or at least aching to be back into a GR9, which is just more nimble, supple, fast feeling and doesn’t have the same heel slippage with lace alterations up top (and in spite of not having that higher medial) — and having all the stability any average rec player could possibly need. I’ll leave the GRX stability level and even greater rigidity for pros and crazy talented movers/sliders who need their shoes to survive a grenade (credit to the poster who wrote that), and I’ll get some more GR9s while I can. In the future I’ll move to the Court FF if I need to. Or something else entirely.

A couple other posters and GR9 fans like AC Tennis had already made me feel this shoe wouldn’t be for me, but needed to confirm it, being an Asics guy. Sad they just overdid this one - at least to me. My two cents.

Thanks for your two cents. Very helpful indeed. Being also an Asics guy in terms of shoes, you blow away every inch of my motivation to even try the shoes.
