Asics Res 8s Long?

Does anyone find the Res 8 to feel too long for the same size as compared to previous models. I’ve had Res 6 & 7s in size 12 and they fit fine. The size 12 8s feel like they have too much room in the toe box but I am afraid to order a 11.5 and they would be too small.

Yes i have this problem too, I order half size smaller it feels good.

FWIW, I compared the insoles of GR7 and GR8 size US9 and they're the exact same length. Interestingly enough, the GR7 insole is slightly wider in the forefoot, but I still think GR7 is tighter there, because of the upper, which presses down on the foot more.

I don’t like the ankle collar. It feels very short, and it doesn’t cup my ankle like other shoes.

Sure did. I bought a pair online a few weeks ago in the same size I've always worn in Nike and Adidas and they were noticeably longer. I returned them for some half a size down and they're perfect now. Note - they are fairly snug shoes through the mid-foot but they loosen up within a few hours play so don't panic if you go down half a size and they feel tight.
