ASICS Solution Speed FF versus Court FF2

To be totally honest, search everywhere for a Speed Solution 2, the originals are the best asics shoes and perhaps tennis shoes ever.

FF stands for new cushioning material FlyteFoam. Some like it, some don’t.

If you prefer more stability, try the Court; if you want a lighter (faster?) shoe go Speed.
My thoughts and remember YMMV:
Speed Solution FF:
Slightly narrow - I couldn't break them in comfortably enough, and that's even with a shoe stretcher. Wound up giving them to a teammate.
Very comfortable cushioning
Lightweight and speedy
Court FF2:
Mono sock design really locks your foot into the shoe some people say they have a difficult time getting these on, but they're def easier than the previous version, that being said I don't really have a problem.
Bit more room; you'll see some people recommend going down a size, but I stayed true to my size. Half size down was too snug for me.
Extremely comfortable cushioning but with slight slight break in. Took me about <2 hours to break these in.
More mid foot stability
Weighs more but you really don't feel the weight
Expensive

Both are good shoes and it really depends what you want in a shoe.
The Speed FF is a lighter and faster shoe. It has less cushioning than the Court FF2 but is still quite comfortable.
The Court FF2 is more stable and comfortable. I like how the shoe is higher around the ankle and really hugs your feet.
There are 2 issues I had with both shoes which probably is an Asics thing. The first is that they both fit large. I went down 1/2 a size compared to my previous Nike Vapors. The second issue is with the shoe laces that Asics likes to use. I feel that they are too thin which puts some pressure on the top of the foot if you tie them down.
My personal choice is the Court FF2

I fully agree with that. For my information, did you find another shoes quite similar in another brand without this "issue"?

I found the Nike Zoom Zeros are similar in cushioning and comfort to the Court FF2s and their laces are way better than the Asics, but they probably had the worst outsole durability I have ever used in a pair of tennis shoes. My shoes don't usually show a lot of wear until 4-6 months in, but the Zoom Zeros were balding within 2-3 months. If it wasn't for the durability issue I probably wouldn't have gone to Asics.

I really don’t like the speed FF. The top is made of rubber type material and during play they will fold in but the material is making them loose on certain spots and would put pressure at others. Not sure if I’m clear. Anyway fit sucks.
I know they use this to keep stability in lightweight shoes but I really don’t like the feeling.
As others said, speed2 were best and it’s all downhill from there. I prefer my court FF to the speedFF by far. I can’t wait to try the courtFF2.

I agree totally with you in the lacing issue in the Court FF2 and your evaluation of the shoe. Something similar that does not have the lacing issue would be the Nike Air Zoom Zero - not quite the same low to the ground feel but perhaps a bit more cushioned, stable, and comfortable.
