I have noticed on message boards when somebody announces they are leaving and for what reason, there is a greater than 50% chance they will still post later on in the future. Those who are truly leaving simply do so without fanfare.
I don't buy the official 9/11 story and the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan so I moved out to a warmer dryer climate where I could play tennis year round.
Aussies drink more than Americans, especially on Friday nights. They are a bit more humble and quiet, but also sometimes not as friendly and more reserved but usually respectful.
The tennis here is very good through and more social and easier to meet many people. The girls are cuter too (wearing swimsuits even in the winter months).
Had to trade in baseball for cricket and football for Aussie rules football which is like a massive game of hot potato but they are showing some of the NFL games now like MN-GB.
Also many words are different like footpath not sidewalk, bonnet not hood of car, shopping trolley not cart, zed not zee, etc. But always cool to learn something new.
I recently saw a large snake on the bike path and the bats are huge as well as the spiders. No squirrels but they have brush-tailed possums that are like tiny kangaroo-squirrel things. I have been able to pet a wild kangaroo at USC (University of Sunshine Coast). Lots of cool things to see and do here.
