True that. They're tie in # of slams won since AO 2012. The funny thing is they are also tie in # of different slams won (2 out of the 4). They're even tie in terms of proportions: both won their best slam 3 times and the other slam just once! The main difference has been consistency: Djoko has made 5 extra finals, Nadal only 2.
One could push the parallel even further and add that Djoko's 2011 mirrored Nadal's 2010 (3 slam titles each). There again the difference would be consistency. In 2011, Djoko reached semi at RG while Nadal lost AO in quarter.

If Nadal continues to lose in the QF or earlier there won't be much times they meet in non clay tournaments. I think as soon as Nadal loses in RG he will think about retiring. That is why H2h is meaningless.
 
Even if he does, it won't matter as Nadal leads by a long way at the slam H2H, 9-3. And I don't see Novak/Nadal slam matches coming regularly these days.

H2h can be meaningless but its bull to say it necessarily is.
 
Nope. They will likely meet on clay about 15 more times, and maybe 5 more times on hard, grass, indoor combined.

Nadal just does not play enough (or well enough) on hard, grass, indoors.
 
If Djokovic passes nadal in h2h, then tennis has conquered.

Tennis has lost a bit of it's meaning.
 
Djokovic can change it and it's only good that he has been ruling since 2011. Federer is proud of his successor.

I believe Nadal would win in two sets (one tight, one beatdown).

Nadal has the ascendancy having freshly won a title, whereas Djokovic's confidence is ailing following his loss to Federer.

Anyway, separate to that, it looks as if Nadal has 'figured out' Djokovic's game anyway, and regardless of each players' form, I wouldn't expect Nadal to lose to Djokovic these days.
 
I'm enjoying the rivalry that's burgeoning between RF-18 and VanioMan just lately. I'd like to see it develop even more. :twisted:

hmmmmm,i missed that due to my silent ban..a bit rusty at the moment so wont reply until i have about 220 matches on clay under my belt.I'll only be playing ranks 50 to 100 plus until my rhythm comes back

Nadal has an even bigger edge over Djokovic at the US Open than at Roland Garros.
Of their last 4 slam meetings the most lopsided was 2013 US Open (6-1 in 4th set).
That's because Nadal is attacking more every year, while Djokovic is becoming more defensive every year.

I definitely didn't see any evidence of Nadal becoming more aggressive in any of his matches thus far in 2015.

Maybe Djokovic should have more than 1, but Rafa should lead in titles for sure, he really is quite excellent at the USO.

I find it disrespectful, Nadal is underrated enough here, but some trolls want literally everything. Nadal better than Novak on a HC???!! :shock:! We aren't having that!! :lol: They for some reason are only ok when Federer beats him on HC. If you actually watch their matches on faster courts it's pretty easy to see how much a healthy and confident Nadal's game causes him problems. Will we ever see that Nadal again is another matter.
