At this rate, will Djokovic tie up the Nadal h2h?

Will Djokovic tie or overtake the h2h with Nadal?

Federer was a point away from Djokovic having no USO at all at that. Too bad he didn't serve down the T

Indeed, MN, too bad.

It's too bad that Federer didn't serve down the T.

Thanks for reminding me... now where's my gun.

It's funny when people say their 2-1 in titles is an anomaly.

Maybe Djokovic should have more than 1, but Rafa should lead in titles for sure, he really is quite excellent at the USO.

And Nadal is closer to having 3 US Opens than Djokvoic is to having 2.
I mean Nadal didn't get to play the US Open in 2012 and 2014, and he probably would have won one of those.

Djokovic has a huge problem in future, and that is he doesn't have a weapon he can rely on when his body slows down.

Whereas Nadal's body has been declining since 2008, and he simply unleashed the forehand-down-the-line.

Also I don't think Djokovic looks very driven, because he showed no passion in the Dubai Final, maybe because he has a family.

Just looking at the video just now, it was definitely a bad decision. Go body or down the T and you restrict the swing space he has. Going out wide like that at least gives the player a shot at hitting a full swing at a FH. Had he been playing Nadal, that would have been the right play. Anything besides a CC-BH return winner (which Nadal does hit sometimes though) would have opened the court for a FH-DTL victory.

Probably, and Federer was in the form to have a chance in the final, but he'd have been unfavoured. Federer just went with his most comfortable serve at the time and IIRC even took some pace off the serve. Got punished.

Got salty afterwards.

Well, in the end, Federer has five and Djokovic has one, so let him have 2011.
The winner always deserves it, luck or no luck.

I find it disrespectful, Nadal is underrated enough here, but some trolls want literally everything. Nadal better than Novak on a HC???!!! We aren't having that!! They for some reason are only ok when Federer beats him on HC. If you actually watch their matches on faster courts it's pretty easy to see how much a healthy and confident Nadal's game causes him problems. Will we ever see that Nadal again is another matter.

I personally think the Montreal 2013 victory was one of the sweetest if I put my Rafa fan hat on, because Bo3 on HC is supposed to be Novak's territory.

Oh for me it's way up there. That's the exact type of tennis Nadal should be playing on grass and HC. Returning close to the baseline, being aggressive as much as possible, hitting through his BH, mixing up his serve and patterns of play. Brilliant stuff. When he's confident and healthy, he's no fun at all for Novak to play on any surface. The problem is his injuries and time off tour keep him from being confident, and his passive style of play when he's not confident leads to injuries  a vicious cycle.

Hi stalker :p I can talk about things without being in a wheelchair. I know you have too much familiarity with butthurt to even know there's a way to get over it.

Interesting. I voted that Nadal would maintain his lead when the thread was made back in February 2015. Shows you how fast things can change in tennis.

I thought Nadal would never lose his Masters 1000 record either, but that looks very likely to happen next year too. Things change too fast sometimes.
