I think the OP is a Djokovic fan and his prime motivation was to embarrass Rafa over the 2019 AO Final that's why I have concentrated on Djokovic.
I don’t think so. There isn’t really any hate between Djokodal fans on this forum, it’s one-sided from the frednatics.I think the OP is a Djokovic fan and his prime motivation was to embarrass Rafa over the 2019 AO Final that's why I have concentrated on Djokovic.
Now that's a whole 'nother kind of selective bias.I think the OP is a Djokovic fan and his prime motivation was to embarrass Rafa over the 2019 AO Final that's why I have concentrated on Djokovic.
Nadal - Anderson US17 was not exactly a nail biter
Federer - Goffin US19: 2 - 2 - 0
Umm Anderson and Goffin are not all-time greats. Not even close.
This thread is about all-time greats who got destroyed in slam matches, not all-time greats destroying above average players.
I read ATP players getting shredded...![]()
Lol, initially when I went into this thread I thought it was going to be about guys getting shredded/ripped for matches.![]()
I have never seen Fed on hc being blown out of the court like in that match.I'd toss in the Cilic vs Federer 2014 US Open SF.
That level of serving by Cilic was just unreal.
Right, I didn't see your edit.Yeah, noticed that right after I posted the comment lol

Wimbledon 2013 was not a beatdown (i.e. getting “shredded”) which is the topic of this thread. It doesn’t upset me, it’s just clearly an attempt to prop up Muzz undeservedly. I would accept 2008 USO, but even that isn’t good enough for your agenda it seems.
I thought USO 2008 sas a straight-sets affair. No beatdown if it’s 4 sets. Then my oroginal question remains: has Muzz ever beat down an ATG at a slam? Seems like not.You would accept 2008 USO even though that was a 4 setter over a straight setter? The only reason you would accept that is because it was against Nadal and not your boy Djokovic. So let's cut the hypocritical cant shall we? A straight setter in a Slam final against an ATG player from a non-ATG player is notable by any unbiased and objective tennis observer, something you are quite clearly not.

So in other words you want to move the goalposts and change the language to suit your narrative? Seems like brits are particularly prone to this. A beatdown implies an easy and one-sided match, which neither of those matches were. Only beatdowns I think of in relation to Muzz were the ones he suffered at USO 2008 and those AO finals...I've already answered your question several times. A straight setter in a Slam final against an ATG player from a player who is not an ATG player is a beatdown. No ifs or buts. The only other player to inflict a straight sets beatdown against Djokovic in a Slam final was Federer (2007 USO final) but he is a fellow ATG and Djokovic was playing in his maiden Slam final. If you can't accept this then there is no further purpose to our discussion.
