It is a scam. We had a long thread about it when they first came out. If you price the same type merchandise on alternate websites, its cheaper or close to the same with no obligation. And the kid's parents have to give their credit card numbers or bank account numbers to pay the monthly fee. You have to keep taking stuff like the old magazine scams.Just so you know, it is not really a sponsorship, more of a package.
Clothing quality is very nice though.
But, kids as low as 50 in a section... are now wearing it and have a sponsorship, so seems like a bit of hype.

In my decades in tennis I have built a relationship with dozens of coaches and hundreds of parents and kids. We email, meet at tournaments, telephone, etc.TennisCoachFLA, I am not being paid to say this, I don't have an ADNA sponsorship and never had before in the past. I know many families with kids who have ADNA and none of them have had an issue with it. I have a couple friends who stopped with the program because as you said, they didn't feel like they needed that much tennis clothing. They didn't have any trouble cancelling though.
I don't know why you are so against ADNA, did a bunch of players who are sponsored by them beat your kid or something lol?
Yup, most have caught on. But man, their remaining supporters are rough, they will defend them to the end. Like a mob boss who pays for fireworks for the locals while ripping off tons of people. Those locals will defend that mob boss with a passion!!Complete scam. The only way their hideous designs can sell is by playing to kids' egos. But as TCF said, most people are on to them now.
Isn't that the REAL issue, folks?Complete scam. The only way their hideous designs can sell is by playing to kids' egos. But as TCF said, most people are on to them now.
Ha, great post. It is the ugliest logo on the planet along with some of the worst designs you could ever imagine. You might as well tape a sign to your shirt that says "I am gullible".Isn't that the REAL issue, folks?
Kidding, but they really are heinous.
The Columbia House of tennis wear.
My favorite is how excited kids get when they open up the package. Is it because they think they are 'sponsored'? Or that they think they belong to a little 'club' of sorts? Or that they dress like Robert Kendrick?
it's a different business model than NIKE...for the same crap poly probably made by the same children FOR the same children.
I probably sound like a retrogrouch, but...I wish they'd bring some of the cool brands back...from my days in college tennis before it became all adidas or the swoosh. LeCoqSportif, Diadora, ST, Ellesse, et al.
Maybe ADNA is like Court Casuals, Moody, Foot-Joy or Todd 1, hahah. Anyone remember those off-brands?
First of all, you lose all credibility when you say the logo is an "infinite sign". For starters the word is infinity sign and thats not what it is. Any freshman biology student recognizes the symbol as a derivation of the DNA double helix, obviously a take on their name. Geez, its hard to even go past that nonsense of your post. All the biological stuff in the background of their website should have clued you in. More schooling, less tennis would be my idea for you.Wow, somebody got your panties in a bunch. Geez guys, have you seen the Nike designs over the last 10 years? THEY are hideous. Our player dropped them as his sponsor several years ago cause they became uncool to HIM (the one wearing it.) They got worse, remember Nadal in pink and tan with a green highlight bar - come on. If ADNA makes the kids feel cool and play tennis in their little clothes what is wrong with that? Should tennis clothes only be for the elite? I'm sure it is better to get a box of stuff shipped to you than go to Target or the local sporting goods store and pay $55 for a poorly made and ugly Nike. The full kswiss offer is for top 30 nationally, which we did, but just 30 players get that. Great for us, but sounds like USTA elitism. I am for doing whatever to get more kids into it, not making it more restrictive in any way. I am guessing these younger players may have illusions of grandeur, but if it makes them feel like it did my son to get his Nike, KSwiss and Babolat sponsorships, regardless of the brand, I say that's super. I hear ADNA totally styles their top fully sponsored players and overloads them with custom stuff and a lot of it. If ADNA makes little junior feel good about himself on the court and the kids love the designs which THEY do, let it be. Ya, like a check is such a better logo than an infinite sign. You guys sound like you are soooo old and cranky - 80 years old and out of touch. My guess is the more the parents hate it, the more the kids will love it. And guys, they do. Funny, you have turned into your parents - ha!
What does that mean?2] The colors themselves are pretty solid. Red, white and black....royal, black and white...can't really go wrong.
All of there shirts are white though. They aren't anything new. They made solid decisions with colors, choosing royal blue, to go with black and white.
I think their choice of red to go with black and white is a good choice, too.
I like these colors.
Might want to quit while you're ahead. I'm guessing you must have been an art major if you did go to college, because with two engineering degrees this is the first time I've heard somebody refer to infinity as "infinite amount". and news flash, the DNA helix and infinity symbol only appear the same to someone who has no idea what they're looking atOh, god, a typo, let me go kill myself. Even so, Mr. I am guessing not college educated, you can use the symbol to represent an infinite amount as well.
nice.......:Might want to quit while you're ahead. How's it a scam? They're not tricking you into substandard clothing, they're not advertising for something that isn't being offered. You clearly get the terms and conditions, the prices, what you get in the package, the whole shebang.I have seen the prices for the diffrent level packages. If you njust barely make into ADNA like the beggining package for the price it's AWFUL. I agree with TennisCoachFLA it's is a pretty good scam wish i would have thought of it.
Amen....
If anything buying Nike clothing at full price for example, is a scam. ....
Yeah, guess Federer and Nadal cost a little more than Robert Kendrick$75 for a single color shirt? What a scam!!!!!
/sarcasm
The scam is playing on young kids insecurities and get them to coerce their parents into a CONTRACT for more clothing than they will ever need. When I researched this "offer" for my 13-year old two years ago, I concluded that the stuff may have been borderline acceptable with 4 stars. My kid was offered 3 so I "respectfully" declined.\
Having been at a start up that made it, I just like that this little company is trying and I don't see it as a scam cause everyone knows what they are signing up for.
Another alpha dog in addition to those mentioned, Nick Chappell wears ADNA.
Just don't like generalizations - like there are only some good players coached in a circle in Florida that matter. Very small minded.
I like NIKE Dry fit Cotton. It is very SOFT and very Light and wicks away moisture. It gives you an advantage in long Tough matches. Right T-shirts actually can make a difference in hot conditions.shirts are really light and you can barely feel it... unlike adidas shirts with too much "technology"
Everyone always got a trophy in my town. The kids don't really care about the score much. The scam with ADNA is that they make kids beg to their parents and their parents feel guilty into buying them for them. It's a psychological scam. The issue that I have with the "sponsorship" is it reminds me of a soccer season where all the kids on all the teams get a trophy...
