The combo of fluffy balls, polyester strings, and light racquets are a match made in hell.
My racket is a Wilson 103S which my coach thinks is all wrong for me and he says its the worse racket ever made. I like it because its sort of almost Sky Blue (its darker but has a bit of sky blue) in colour and ive never been one to try loads of rackets as ive always thouht tennis is about the player not the racket as i cant see how what racket a player uses alters his game that significantly at the level i play at. Pros i get, but at my level i just have never seen the need to obsess over what racket to use....and it seems i have been wrong!

Crap balls is an issue. For the first time in my life ive got tennis elbow and its so bad i am off for an MRI next week and cant play at the moment, so if the balls at club level are an indication of balls at pro level then i expect to see more and more injuries to players.

I dont mind the USO and FO being slow or say IW Miami etc, i.e traditional slow courts, but seeing Wimbledon degenerate into what it is now boils my p*ss tbh
Ya some of the balls you can feel die faster but feel like a rock.
It’s not ideal.

Haha tell me about it. I sometimes have one stick strung with a multi in the cross because of it. But the 1.20 polys are generally holding up ok. Get some better spin potential too.

Guarantee it if they meet. Ive said for a couple of years Shelton will be Alcaraz kyrptonite.. I thought we could see that this year at RG in the 1st set..and that was on clay. Zverev troubles Alcaraz and an on form fresh Shelton (not the guy in Cinci) is a better player than Zverev was shot for shot bar the BH and return.

Shelton is the guy who i think could cause Sinner problems as well if that NY crowd gets going. He is the one i think that may stop a 3rd Sinneraz final.
Every one seems to think shelton’s ball bashing style of play = can compete with sinner and alcaraz bc he has the power.
But what about the rest of his game? Zverev eats that style up for breakfast lunch and dinner.

I don’t think Shelton moves well enough to consistently compete with the top 3 at the moment. That doesn’t mean he can’t beat them 1 or 2 times out of 10, but they consistently handle him and have.

Agree but Shelton is one of these guys who can get hot for 2 weeks

The people looking only at air temperature and not the *relative* humidity (and dew point) have never lived in a very hot and humid climate. Humidity makes a tremendous difference in terms of the body's ability to cool off (which occurs through sweat evaporating).

Dew point is what matters. Not RH.
