Just for the AO -> Wimbledon period so far:

2024
C. Alcaraz 84
J. Sinner 82 (would be higher without the injuries)
N. Djokovic 70
D. Medvedev 74
A. Buser 77

2011
N. Djokovic 94
R. Nadal 90
R. Federer 85
A. Murray 82
R. Soderling 73

2024 Alcaraz isn’t fit to lace the boots of 2011 Djokodal lol - not just in terms of win / loss ratio by this stage of the year, it’s also that he played erratically for lots of Wimbledon, underperformed during the clay swing, and got beaten by Abuserev at the AO

There is not a single tournament after the AO where 2024 Alcaraz beats 2011 Nadal, let alone 2011 Djokovic

Did they implement the Buser mechanic where his level automatically drops when he's ahead against a high ranked opponent?

Sad, for sure, but it seems to me his only claim to fame was his defeating peak Nadal at the French Open.
That's an impressive claim to fame even if it was just that.

But he was also the only player other than Nadal to beat Federer in RG during 2005-2011, and he reached consecutive RG finals.
