If he wins this he's coming in off two withering, tough three set matches; he'll be ripe for the picking.well the 3rd will probably go to AZ. He better beat Fed too, or he drops a notch in my estimation.
yeah, he's been great up there today, but yesterday he looked lost most of the time tbh.
Don't bring in the fatigue excuse already, he's a 20 years old. I didn't know what tired meant at that age.If he wins this he's coming in off two withering, tough three set matches; he'll be ripe for the picking.![]()

A 20 year old has twice the energy as a 36 year old.
was this the 3rd double in this very game?![]()
Yes, but the 20 year old has to play doubles as well next...![]()
I hope Federer gives him a lesson he'll never forget.
Trivia: When has the same player played (and beaten) two brothers in the same tournament?
Well, he's young. If he wins this he's coming in off two withering, tough three set matches; he'll be ripe for the picking.![]()
which is not exactly taxing. This is grass, he hasn't been grinding out points for hours on end. Whoever plays the better tennis wins tmr. Relax, it's only Halle after allYes, but the 20 year old has to play doubles as well next...![]()
He should stop playing doubles matches at every tournament that he enters. Mr. S&V should find another partner.Yes, but the 20 year old has to play doubles as well next...![]()
Would have looked like a Swiss janitor mopping upGood. I can't imagine anyone wanted a Fed/Gasquet final.
Did Kim play against the men?Kim Clijsters ?
Fed - Rochus brothers ?
No x-factor, smug personality, whines all the time, thinks he's 10x better than he actually is. His game is ok but the rest kills it for me.Why exactly do you hate Zverev that much?
Me too, but I actually favor Sasha in this match. Haven't been remotely impressed with Fed's form since his return.I hope Federer gives him a lesson he'll never forget.
I did.Good. I can't imagine anyone wanted a Fed/Gasquet final.

Yeah, Federer better deliver because what he's produced so far won't be enough.Me too, but I actually favor Sasha in this match. Haven't been remotely impressed with Fed's form since his return.
That is like a practice session .
You're not a Fed fan... most were praying for Gasquet as his opponent tomorrow.Good. I can't imagine anyone wanted a Fed/Gasquet final.
I want someone to put him in his place so that he knows he isn't the best player in the universe.Sure, but why do you want Fed to teach him a 'lesson he never forgets'? Sounds pretty vindictive.
Gaz handed Al the match tooWell, he's young.
Fed hasn't faced a real test yet, Khach handed him the match. I think AZ wins.
Well, Roger will have to dramatically raise his level. His ROS has been atrocious, his movement average, his BH predictable and non-lethal and his mental lapses are back to 2009-2015 level.Yeah, Federer better deliver because what he's produced so far won't be enough.
The thing I don't like about Zverev is the constant fist pumping, sort of in his opponents face. If Nadal wants to do that, he's earned that right by being an ATG. It is a little much for Z to be doing it almost after every point. I don't like this constant interactions with his box either. He should go out there, quietly do his job and let his racket do the talking. Hopefully he'll learn that.I want someone to put him in his place so that he knows he isn't the best player in the universe.
Agree, he's cocky & rude. Hell of a game though. The thing I don't like about Zverev is the constant fist pumping, sort of in his opponents face. Worrying final opponent for Fed. The only guy alongside Kyrgios, Cilic and peak Djokovic showing up that I fear for Fed at Wimbledon.
That said, Fed should have enough serve game and experience to grind this one out.
Disagree that Fed's been awful. His % of net approaches won is impressive and he's generally been OK on serve. FH has been firing overall too.
Movement, BH and ROS have been sloppy must admit.
Some Federer fans here even more defeatist after he won a major than they were in 2013-2016 when he won none.![]()

I see tiebreakers or 6-4 type sets coming up.I agree, Fed in 3. Tough, long match. Great preparation for Wimby.![]()
