Hi everyone,
I am making my top 10 predictions for 2024 ATP year end rankings. If any of you want to post your predictions for the top 10 here, then feel free!

1. Novak Djokovic: Novak has been quite stable throughout the past few years and has probably been the best player on tour, so assuming he stays healthy and is allowed to play most tournaments, he should be able to stay at the number one position.

2. Carlos Alcaraz: As one of the most skilled players on tour, Alcaraz has been able to achieve great heights, and assuming he is able to stay at the level he has been playing, I don't think anyone besides Djokovic, Sinner, and possibly Medvedev would trouble him.

3. Jannik Sinner: After a huge breakthrough season in 2023, where Sinner reached his carreer high ranking of #4 in the world, I expect Sinner to stay one of the top players in 2024 as he is able to beat anyone he plays as long as he is at his best.

4. Daniil Medvedev: One of the most consistent players for the past few years has been Daniil Medvedev, who has not dropped out of the top 20 since 2018 has defeated loads of good players and is expected to stay in the top 5 for the whole 2024 season.

5. Casper Ruud: After a letdown season in 2023, Ruud's skill has started to be questioned, however, I believe that this drop in level was caused by the pressure of his success in 2022, therefore after viewing Ruud play against Mannarino in the United Cup as well as Ramos Vinolas in the Australian Open, I believe that Ruud will be able to once again maintain the top 5. ranking.

6. Alexander Zverev: After an injury in the 2022 French Open, Zverev did amazingly well while he was still recovering. Zverev has played very strong, however I am putting him below Ruud due to Zverev's loss to him in 2023's French Open semifinals

7. Alex De Minaur: For the first time in his carreer, Alex De Minaur has entered the top 10 of the Pepperstone ATP Rankings. De Minaur had an amazing season last year and has also played astounding tennis to start off strong this year which included a top 10 win over Alexander Zverev.

8. Holger Rune: Although there has been some controversy around him in the past few years, Holger Rune is undoubtedly a very talented player. I expect that Holger's ranking will fluctuate greatly this year, but in the end, I see rune staying strong.

9. Stefanos Tsitsipas: As one of the most unique players on tour, you never know what tsitsipas will give you. When he plays, he tends to either blow the racket out of his opponent's hands, or send balls flying far out of bounds with his one handed backhand. However, I am confident that he will stay inside the top 10 for many more years despite all these ups and downs.

10. Andrey Rublev: One of the most powerful players on tour is Andrey Rublev, who is able to defeat most players on tour, however he often has trouble when playing people such as Djokovic or Alcaraz who can deflect his power easily. Therefore, along with the fact that Rublev has a lot of points to lose, I believe that Rublev will fall to #10 in the rankings.

Honorable Mentions: #11Hubert Hurkacz, #12 Jack draper, #13 Ben Shelton, #14 Miomir Kecmanovic, #14 Tommy Paul, #15 Karen Khachanov

I was a bit hesitant to make that prediction, however, I have seen him play and he is very talented, I have seen him get into three set battles with people like Alcaraz, and only lose in tiebreaks. I believe that if he works on his mental game, he may even be able to enter the top 10.

It's very reasonable prediction, so I predict for your prediction - around 20% accuracy. Bump this thread in December. :)

It’s all about points on the table vs defense.

Novak has to basically win 2 masters and 3 grand slams. That’s 8k points to defend.

Plus 1200 points from Wimbledon.

Sinner made one SF , 4R, QF and I think 2/3R in French? Only one masters title to defend.

At 4, even though he’s about 11-1200 points behind med, a SF or win in Australia puts him at 3 and not far behind Carlos.

My guess is if Novak can’t fully defend most of his points and sinner has the season we expect- # 1 is on the table by September , maybe earlier.

Well, not too bad predictions but one thing. How does Rublev fall to 10 based on the idea he has a lot of points to defend? Defending points doesn't matter in YE rankings.

Also there's existing threads, but that's fine since they haven't been replied to since the off season and this is based of R1 and R2 of the Aussie Open.
