The Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship is underway in Athens this week, with Novak Djokovic headlining the tournament. Lorenzo Musetti is the second seed and still in the running to secure a slot in Torino by having a great run this week.

Other contenders include Alejandro Tabilo, who will face off against Novak in R2, for their third meeting, and stalwart veteran Stan Wawrinka.

Who wins the 2025 Hellenic Championship?

Where's Tzatzikipas?
He withdraws from only ATP event on home soil?

Nice looking main court in ΑΘΗΝΑ. Nole's SILA is sponsoring the tournament, wow.

Poor Popyrin losing to Korda again in 3 sets.

Sakellaridis has a nice looking forehand and backhand. Some good volleys at the net too. Not liking his ball toss though.

Can Djokovic finally win a set against Tabilo? I assume Indoors courts are his best shot. I know he's 38 and nothing to prove but still, he doesn't need to aggravate this H2H.

...just exiting telekom arena athens where the tournament is taking place......I 'm walking home about a kilometer...pure excitement tonight from the oldwolf stanimal...my hands aching from clapping...very nice experience...nice fight muller-strouff also...i gave to stan-the-man my vote in poll as a honorable mention !

Ooh, Stan v Musetti. Stan hasn't been in the form to beat top players for a while, but Lorenzo is in a bit of a funk as well ... Could Stan pull off the upset and end Musetti's bid to qualify for the Finals?
Musetti is the most motivated he's ever been since clay season. If he puts all his effort and focus, Novak might be in trouble.

Djokovic is trying to be uber aggressive and making several mistakes. Tabilo is a titanic task for the aging champion.

Seeing Djokovic tired like this, does not bode well for ATP Final in Turin, he is supposed to play there? I have my doubts ...

He is saying he is playing, but he doesn't look any shape to play, he's basically struggling in his opening match here.

He's not match fit.

Djokovic vanquishes Tabilo and marches on.

Tabilo removed from the list of players who had a perfect record against Djokovic after multiple matches. Justice done.

Tabilo becomes the 3rd active tennis player (alongside Kyrgios and Sinner) with positive h2h against Djokovic with at least 3 matches played.

Just finished watching the extended highlights and I'm so glad Tabilo got taken to the cleaners by the GOAT. I always find it so annoying when a player celebrates after every point he wins, like he thought he was playing the Djokovic of ten years ago or something LMAO. :-D

Think Djokovic will win this. He’d like to win atleast one Athens tourney if he’s gonna live there the rest of his life.

I do worry for him getting Miami-itis or Shanghai-itis (losing to a random in the latter stages), but this is a 250 so I don’t see that happening.

Novak is doing great, if he wins,, will he feel so good, will he play the Turin YEF ? or will he still not play because he doesn't want to risk injury ??

Novak's draw looks good too, he has nobody all the way to the final who will liikely be Mussetti,, and novak never loses to 1 handed backhand dude
