This is why Djoko is hanging around. He now needs just 3 wins to try get another title and 101. Nice to see him beat a guy he was 0-2 against. Another feather in Djoko’s cap.

He has a chance this week and I said before these tournaments are his best chance of another title now. It won’t be easy though for the old man as he win seen in Geneva and Brisbane.

Novak's draw looks good too, he has nobody all the way to the final who will liikely be Mussetti,, and novak never loses to 1 handed backhand dude
thats just not true look how many times novak lost at rg and how many of them are to one handers if you exclude nadal lol of course I wouldnt comment if you say on hard courts

Had he made his two points on serve when up 5-4 in the second set tiebreak, would you have made the same question?
Actually, he can only win short matches, so he has to have it all going his way. He lost closely to a top ten player today. Not bad for 40 y o. He missed close.

He would have likely lost tomorrow then.

disagree, this is Hard fast court and Novak is king of that surface except when he plays Sinner

QFs are set:

Djokovic v Borges
Giron v Hanfmann

Korda v Kecmanovic
Muller v Musetti

---

Muller has a winning record (1-0) against Musetti, and that match was on clay. Musetti's record against Korda is 2-2, with both of Korda's wins on indoor hard (and both of Musetti's on clay), although they haven't played since 2022. Of course he's 1-8 against Djokovic. He has is work cut out if he wants to win this title and qualify outright for the Finals ...

Djokovic has a 2-0 record against Hanfmann, has never played Borges or Giron. On the other side of the draw, he is 2-0 v Korda, 4-0 v Kecmanovic, 2-0 v Muller and (as mentioned) 8-1 v Musetti. He has unexpected losses these days, but still he's got to be the overwhelming favourite for the title - and probably he will be motivated given his personal connections to the tournament.

He hired a new barber. The one that works for Opelka.

It is a big ask to be as suave and stylish as Riley.

? You dont even know what I was saying. I was saying Novak does lose to onehanders on clay. On hard courts I agree he doesn't lose to one handers much. Just what are you talking about
i see then we agree novak will win this tournament and skip the year ending final due to fear of Alcarez and Sinner kicking his pants off and sending hiim into retirmement :-D

Nice to see Korda mixing up the pace earlier, drop shot winner and all.

He's overpowering Kecmanovic so far. I just hope he won't choke if Kecman turns the match around
