If Novak loses tomorrow, Musetti is into YEC. Novak would then need to withdraw for FAA to take his spot.

So Novak by losing or withdrawing can change groups in two ways:D

I read a conspirancy theory saying Novak going to skip the finals to vendicate the changing rules points the ATP did for the finals bcz hampered bad hes family tournement partecipation of great players for the future
I'm still sticking to the notion that both FAA and Musetti will play Turin, I expect Djokovic to pull out after playing Athens final, even if he wins.

Why did they chance the rules? I'm not convinced it makes much sense....It's exciting watching things come down to the wire. Rarely do you see such engagement for a 250, especially at this time of year.

Athens will move to earlier in the season, to take place before Paris Masters

He is one of the best players ever at 38. What were Nadal, Murray, wawrinka and other 38 year olds doing?

If you are a Djokovic fan you very spoilt and entitled if all you care about is if he can win slams/masters and if not he should retire.

That is ridiculous. The guy still loves playing and still has things to offer. He can’t beat Sincaraz anymore. Wow so he should retire, you going on ridiculous.

We should be grateful we even seeing him play at all and in another final. Do you understand even what he doing now is extraordinary and not normal? A 38 year old after all the success and mileage in body still can win small titles and go far in slams.

Let’s see how Sincaraz fare in their 30s.
You just don't get it, his name is far too great for not going all out for the biggest tournaments.

Well he obviously disagrees. All legends have to fall eventually. No one wins forever. He is cool with it so why aren’t you? It the circle of life and Father Time but I admire that he still loves playing and still trying to see what he can do even at this age.

He also did go all out. He got to SF of all 4 slams. He isn’t interested in atp finals now. He won it 7 times and got record. You do realise protecting his body is most important?

This is why he has a chance to win this title because he protected it as well as possible even retiring in some matches this year.

Missed many 1000 tournaments and instead played 4 250 tourneys. Moronic schedule.

Yet if he wins this tournament he added 2 titles to his name and his body still holding up.

Instead he could have played more masters not won anything and destroyed his body remaining on 99 titles.

I say he in a better position.

He can get injured anywhere, better to take the risk in the big ones.

Yep, he's giving himself chances to win more titles.
This exactly. Djoko is killing 2 birds with 1 stone. He only should want tougher routes in a slam when it necessary. As in a slam no getting away from it and Sincaraz.

However, why put yourself through playing masters/atp finals and other tough players more when it can be avoided. It means his body can last longer and he has a better chance at another title.

It helps he completed the sport too and has no holes in his resume. He even recorder holder in Paris masters and atp finals so even less incentive if his body tired or at risk of injury.

He been smart with scheduling last few years which is why he still hanging on in there.

Him completing tennis certainly helps, he already has all the records and has won everything worth winning.....

Apart from Queens. LOL

Exactly which is why I wouldn’t be against him skipping French open if it meant he had a longer grass season and bagged queens! Haha

I’m actually interested in events djoko not won or this event he playing he different country being Greece that was Belgrade open! These events are interesting to see him in! Haha

I'd like to see him play S America myself.

I guess it's the other way around. I feel like if he loses it is almost certainly after a grueling match in way that he wouldn't be able to recover fast to play in 2 days.

I’m a Musetto fan, but I don’t think it’ll be a grueling match

Frustrating to watch a talent like Lorenzo suck so much on indoor hard when he has all the shots. He's playing so far behind the baseline. He needs to watch some Roger/Andre where they're blasting balls while being right on the baseline. He has a big enough serve and can blast the ball off both wings and hit the ball on the rise when needed. He's just too brain rotted by growing up on clay courts.
If he could only get an attitude adjustment on Hard and Grass, he would have the potential to be the top player behind Jannik and Carlos. Similar to someone like Stan. And unlike Stan, Lorenzo can actually move well on grass.

lol you think everyone on the tour can hit the balls like Roger and Andre everyone can be atg then (just don’t grow up on clay according to your “theory”) hahahahah
