Seems like it will be THE tournament next week.

Looking forward to the return of Safin and Djokovic. Also Dimitrov gets to show us what he has again.

In the end, I shall pull for family here. :)

I actually think Gasquet but whenever I pick him he loses so on that basis Simon if his back lets him past Dimitrov

Boy you are fast Sefina. But again you simply list the top seeds, although you did add Dimitrov. Personally, I would have picked Llodra in place of Lopez. But its your poll, its your rules.

I can't believe this tournament is a 250 and Memphis got the 500, way better draw here.

Djokovic for the win.

I honestly can't decide whether to vote for Safin or Dimitrov still. I mean, does anybody think Safin was serious about not winning any more slams?

Lets see. Safin has not won a match in 4 years, not since the AO in 2005. Dimitrov just played in his first ATP tournament, I think. So, I would not put my money on either one. To me its either Tsonga or Djokovic and I picked Djokovic. I think he can break the curse that Tsonga's grandmother or whoever put on him.

Well if Safin still wants to win slams this year, I don't want to chip away at his confidence when he reads my column here and fully endorse Dimitrov. Maybe I should just stay neutral and let them fight it out on the court.

Thats the best thing to do. We don't want you to influence the match so that it throws off all the betting.

Yes, perhaps the laissez-faire approach is best in dealing with Marseille for me. So many times I have asked Safin "well, what do you want to do", and he goes "i don't know", but now that Dimitrov in the cards it's a different ballgame, so it is out of my hands.

It's sad that of the eleven French players, eight of them are in the bottom half:

I have written this before that its very common for players of the same nationality to be mached to play together. Not long ago, Safin got matched with Andreev in the first round. And I don't think there were many other Russian players. Just watch, spaniards, swedes, and even belgians get matched, not to say anything about Americans.

Even though Safin is still probably the favourite, I am voting for Dimitrov, because it is quite ridiculous that nobody else is voting for him. What time is he playing Simon tomorrow anybody know? I hope the crowd is nice, otherwise they'll feel bad when Simon loses.

Bummer, Grigor has to play Simon in the first round... I hope he pulls an upset.

SoBad, I took a look on the schedule and it seems that only half of the players are playing tomorrow. I didn't see Djokovic or Dimitrov in tommorow's matches, for example.

^^ Oh thanks for the info. I tried to look up, but the tourny sight is so random it's hard to figure any of it out. But yeah look like Safin and Dimitrov are off on Monday. And I see that Istomin was playing qualies on Sunday, I hope he won, he's really good too...

Don't you hate it when they play qualies on the first day of the tournament? Why can't they start them on Friday, instead of Saturday? Most of those players are not overly busy, thats why they have to qualify.

Time for Gasquet to show these non-talents how tennis is really played. Allez!

He announced he won't play... another "convenient" injury ?

I love his game when he's on but this kind of behavior is really disappointing. I had hope he would toughen up this year, seems like I was wrong.

btw, hello to everyone. Newbie here.

They have WebTv on their website that you can install. But it's not showing anything.

any match can be delicious or painfull depending on how many players show up for the game!

LOL, so true

This girl would like to watch Berdych and Youzhny battling it out, it's cruel to give us that stream link on the official site and then show nothing but blue background on it

I sometimes watch Gasquet matches just for his backhand. It's sad, but true. :)

Welcome to the board!
