I think Monfils/Nadal should be good. Their Paris Masters match wasn't that bad. Monfils couldn't convert any of the break chances he had.

Of the four quarters, which one are you guys looking most forward to?

Roddick-Hanescu. I think Hanescu stands a good chance of beating Roddick. The top 3 seeds should win tomorrow, probably in straights.

I don't understand why they're playing the 4 quarters tomorrow. Are they gonna play the final on Saturday?

I believe they are. It says from the 5th to the 10th. Their weekend is Friday/Saturday, right? So Sunday would be the first day of the work week.

so all top 4 seeds making semis?? fed murray is gonna be close like usual, nadal would most likely beat roddick but i want to see roddick do some damage and altho i havent seen him play in doha yet i hope he puts up a fight a pulls an upset.. is he in good form?

Is anybody gonna watch Roddick - Hanescu? Isn't it a good start of the year for Hanescu, I mean defeating good players like Troicki and Youzhny?

Don't know about streaming, I'm watching Eurosport. ARod's had some problems on his serve but managed to save 2 bps. 2-1 for him so far.

It seems Stefanki has given Roddick a plus of motivation, he is fighting more than ever. Hanescu played really bad today, he´s very dangerous when he is on and he was playing really well this week (beat Youzhny 6-2 6-4) but he wasn´t the same player today.

Nadal - Monfils
Tip: Nadal
Comment: It hurts me to pick against Monfils because I rate him so highly, but after thinking he had a chance against Nadal back in Paris then to see him ambushed made me realise he is still a little bit off before he beats this sort of creme. The Spaniard has showed no hangover effects from the festive season, losing just one game to the veteran magician Santoro and 3 to the capable Karol Beck. His knee problems seem a distant memory and things are looking up for the world number one ahead of yet another tilt at that elusive Australian Open crown, and he'll see a final showdown with Federer as the only decent result here this week. Monfils has dispatched of claycourt pair Hernych and Devilder easily enough, but the step up in class here is indescribable. The only area I can see him troubling Nadal is on the serve, and if that weapon is not firing well enough then I'll think he'll be outdone at his own game from the back of the court. He will need to load up on a few forehands and put some extra sting in his shots, as even his renewed patience and consistency won't suffice to disturb the Rafa kingdom.

NADAL and MONFILS statistics in this year

Nadal hasn't changed a bit....still bouncing around and sprinting...but i still can't stand the polo and shorts..

Is this some #1 tradition?

monfils actually beat his chest when he hit the break point.

Unfortunately for him, nadal broke right back

Hustle plus accuracy = Andy wins 63, 62

Love that point Andy is moving so well, i think Roddick will face Nadal in the semi's (if monfils unload his sick forehand that would be a diffrent story).... Some advice for Roddick's game if he face Nadal is, don't be affraid to hit Backhand DTL coz Nadal love to hit cross court and that shot will destruct Nadal's rythm little bit....

Match: Federer - Kohlschreiber
Tip: Federer
Comment: Federer looking to get as much confidence as possible ahead of the A/open an Fed is playing some good Tennis right now an espically on is troubled forehand wing.Like we seen against Starace we seen the same against Seppi some stunning backhand shots from the former world number 1 an serving to is usal high standard.Kohly is also playing well an he`s started this season off very good just like last year showing how comfortable he is playing on the Australian hard courts.Fed an Kohly have met twice with Fed taking the honours in both matches both wins coming in Halle on the Grass.Kohly will defintely test Roger an could make the first set very tight but im backing Fed to come through an set up a Semi-final showdown with Murray.

Wow! I wish I could have seen Nadal vs. Monfils!!! Stupid work!!! :)

Uh, has anyone checked up on Nadal_Freak? Is he ok???

I would bet on Monfils beating Roddick to make it to the semi...if I was a betting gal that is!

Lol, I haven't seen Nadal_Freak in a while.

By the way, Monfils/Roddick is the semifinal, I'm thinking Murray/Monfils for the final.

Ah, ok, thanks...and thank you for not replying with 'do a search'! :) Don't always have time for that!

So? Us fans, it's supposed to be hard when your favorite player loses. I recovered pretty well, but only because it's the Qatar Open.
