AIA (Aussies in Action):
Bernard Tomic, plays a qualifier
Marinko Matosevic, plays Bolelli
Samuel Groth, plays Gilles Muller
Nick Kyrgios (my main man) playing Janowicz.

Also starring a returning Del Potro (to play S.STAKHOVSKY in the first round)

And Tomic wins 6-1 6-2. Comfortable win for the big Aussie; can he defend his points from last year (or even add to them)?

Hard for me to get excited about Tomic.

He needs to really change his attitude, not tank a slam match ever again and put some really hard work in.

Good win for him today though, won more comfortably than I thought he would.

Why has Tomic dropped 17 places in the rankings? He is defending a final in Sydney but he added points in Brisbane (since he didn't play it last year).

EOWOW..............NEW star is born. Mugaruza takes out Aga Radwanska... Aga was supremely confident too after taking out Serena for the first time....................BUT NO match against Mugaruza................

Why does Stosur suck so bad in OZ. going down to Strycova. this is a match she should be winning.............lol

I think Stosur's tennis sucks...simple as that. I was never a fan of her brute force tennis. I think she is a perfect example of athletic fitness is not everything in tennis.

She has arguably the most modern game of the WTA, but her brain isn't there.

Tomic def. Sijsling 6:1 6:2 in 43 mins
Troicki def. Klizan 6:2 6:3 in 48 mins

win or lose, no one is interested in long rally, I suppose

I really hope the way we here in Australia are hyping Kyrgios isn't gonna break him before he can make it. I'd hate to see him go down the Tsgona route and become just a clowning crowd pleaser that can't generate his own internal fire and motivation required to get to the very top.

Ahhhh well,,,,,,,,, She Beat Serena Williams to win the US open few years ago...................... 99 % of the girls in WTA will take that kind of career....

Kyrgios looking very rusty and off form; dumps an easy forehand into the net to surrender the first break of the match. 4-1 Jerzy
